Everything was covered with darkness, and nothing could be seen, as only voices could be heard.

Suddenly a door was opened, and light shined upon it as a person walked in.

"Get up" - The woman's voice came through as she looked down at a man.

The man is Joel, as he looked up at the woman who is Zoey.

"What's going on?" - Joel asked.

"Heather wants to see you." - Zoey replied.

"Who's that?" - Joel added.

"The leader." - Zoey responded.

"What for?" - Joel wondered.

"Enough with the questions and just get on your feet." - Zoey spoke in irritation.

Joel slowly got up on his feet as he walked outside the dark room with Zoey walking behind him.

While they were walking, Joel looked around and saw a lot of people wandering around, as many of them were doing all kinds of work.

There were huge walls surrounding the huge camp in the middle of nowhere, as it was placed deep in the woods, making it harder for scavengers to find.

Joel saw some people carrying dead deer, as some others were carrying buckets with water in them, and then there were some people who were carrying crosses, getting Joel's curiosity to rise up.

"In here" - Zoey pointed at a house as they proceeded to walk inside.

As they walked in, they saw Heather and Lawrence who were talking to one another as they suddenly stopped, as they looked at them.

"Welcome" - Heather greeted him as she smiled.

Joel remained silent as she looked at her and Lawrence.

"I am Heather, and this Lawrence. I apologize for our hostile first interaction back out there, it was an unpleasant one." - Heather claimed.

"Um.. It's fine.. I'm Joel." - Joel introduced himself.

"Nice to meet you Joel. I hope Zoey here hasn't been too hard on you." - Heather spoke as she smirked.

"She knocked me down back there, she's tough I can tell." - Joel said as he looked at Zoey who looked at him back, with a serious face.

"She's one of our best soldiers. Do not underestimate her." - Heather expressed as Joel gulped.

"Um ma'am, what exactly am I doing here?" - Joel wondered.

"You are injured, and we wanted to help you." - Heather spoke.

"Helping me how? Locking me in a dark ass room with spiders all over the place and webs all over me? Hell there were probably rats in there too but I didn't see them. So much for your fucking help." - Joel replied in frustration.

"Watch your tongue and use appropriate words." - Suddenly Lawrence jumps in the conversation with his deep scary voice as Joel looks at him.

"Are you gonna school me on my language?" - Joel asked.

"Don't play smart with me boy. We have discipline and order here and as long as you're here you will respect that." - Lawrence claimed with a bit of anger in his tone.

"Uh yeah because cussing is the biggest crime ever. Open your fucking eyes and look around you and tell me if cussing is what you should be worrying your ass about." - Joel replied with an arrogant attitude.

Lawrence quickly became intolerant of Joel as he tried to walk to him and hit him, but Heather stopped him.

"We have to keep the peace, remember?" - Heather told Lawrence as he looked at her, and then managed to calm himself down.
