In the evening I was getting bored when the door opened and Kabir entered.

"You are back?"

"Hmm"

"I said to Dad that I'll stay here. You don't have a problem. Right?"

"As if you would change your plan." I chuckled

"No," he said

"That time I told you to leave, why didn't you?" Kabir asked

"Because you were in danger," I said and he glared

"Ok ok I know it was risky or I would say too much risky but I can't leave you there alone plus I was in contact with Shine. We are friends, right? At least I consider you that and friends don't leave so easily."

Taking a pause, I said "Well I am no longer your bodyguard Kabir. Your father and I had a chat the other day and he said that I am fired from my job."

"What? Fired? How...can he do that without my consent? You are not leaving right?" he huffed.

"Well he didn't hire me with your consent too and there's more to this so listen. He said that the job offer was an excuse as he wanted someone to look after you. He could have kept a better person than me but he wanted more of a friend than of a guard to talk to you. So that day I was not protecting you because of my job, I did because I wanted to. And I wanted to clarify this to you in case you think it's because of my job" I said.

Before he could say anything, the nurse came in.

"I think we should talk about this later," Kabir said and I agreed. We both spent that night in the hospital.
