❅❅Jack

Jack woke to a fluttering noise. He groaned. His eyes still closed as he rubbed his eye. Baby Tooth came rushing in, hugging Jack's face. He chuckled. Every morning, Baby Tooth would come flying in to wake up Jack. It was the best part of his day, well besides snow days.

"Morning, Baby Tooth. How are you today?" Baby Tooth squeaked furiously. Jack brushed through his hair, "I know, I know, but I want to sleep in Baby Tooth." She rolled her eyes, making Jack smile. He got up from his bed to the bathroom. Jack brushed his pearly, white teeth, keeping them nice and minty. He smirk at the mirror and frosted his crazy white hair. Once he was done, he grabbed his staff and flew to the Globe room.

"Morning, North, Tooth, Sandy, Kangaroo.."

"Oye, what did I say about calling me Kangaroo, Frostbutt?"

Jack smiled, "That you loved it and to say it everytime I see you?" Aster rolled his eyes, making the Guardians laugh. Jack laughed along and sat in his chair, "What's for breakfast?"

"You mean lunch, Jack?" Tooth said. Jack furrowed his brow and checked the time. 1:30? I slept for that long? Oh no.....Jamie and the kids!!

Jack grabbed a sandwich and bolted out the door, "WiND, take me to Burgess." A gush of wind blew through the dining room, blowing off some of Bunny's eggs.

"Oh, where is he going now?" complained Aster.

Jack flew towards Burgess. He went around town jumping and flipping off walls and trucks. Snow started to fall and hit the ground. Children gasp at the sight and ran out side. Some made snowman, some made snow-angels. Jack chuckled and walked to a specific group of kids, "Hey, Jamie!"

The kids stop their bickering and scream his name. Ever since the fight of 2012, kids like Jamie believe in Jack. It was a dream come true. Jack chuckled, "Hey, guys. Who's ready for a snowball fight?" The children readied their snowballs, "Alright, boys against girl. On three, 1......2...........3!" Snowballs flew into smiling faces. Girls and boys laughed and shrieked. Jack threw around some frosted snowballs, gaining more and more people, adults too. Hours of pass by. The sun begins to set. Parents called their children inside. They groaned and mumbled, saying their goodbyes to Jack. However, Jamie and his gang stayed, grinning.

Jack raised his brow, "What?" The kids put their hands over their mouths, muffling their giggles. Jack smiled, shaking his head, "What's behind your back, Jamie?"

Jamie walked up to Jack, holding a navy blue, vanilla cake, "Today is November 24, your birthday. According to Sandman, you're 325 years old." The kids huddle around Jack and sing Happy Birthday. Jack turned to see each and everyone's face. His eyes started to water.  He smiled and once the song was done, he blew out the numbered 325 candles.

"Thank you." The kids smile and start passing slices of cake. After a few minutes, Jack waved good-bye and flew to the North Pole. There was Sandy, Tooth, North, and Bunny holding presents and booze for Jack. He laughed, "Booze? We all know the Easter Kangaroo can't take that much alcohol." The Guardians laugh.

Bunny rolls his eyes, "You're lucky that it's your birthday, mate."

Jack and the Guardians drank and sung a few tunes. It wasn't the best, but they were drunk so why not? After the festivities, the Guardians bid Jack good night and went to bed. Jack grabbed a bottle of beer and flew up to the top of Pole. He takes a sip and sighs, "Hey, Manny. It's been 8 years since the battle, and it was the last time you've talked to me." Jack stared at the moon. No response. As usual. Jack took another long sip of his drink, "You know, after the battle I thought you would have talked to me more," another sip, "But noooo, you've been in your own world, looking down and keeping quiet."

Jack stood up and chugged down his drink, "TO HELL WITH YOU, MANNY!" Jack slammed his drink against the roof. The glass bottle shatter and so did Jack's heart, "I thought I would be happy here. I thought that knowing my past would help, gaining a new family with the Guardian, but I'm not. I'm not fucking happy. I may be believed in, children gather around me, making me feel special. I'm grateful for them. I really am, but it's not enough."

Jack pointed his finger to the sky, feeling a little tipsy, "Never, have I ask more of you. Until now. I want to know what's wrong with me. Why do I feel so lonely and empty inside? Why do I feel like there's a hole in my heart, shattering into small pieces?" Jack looked back up to the moon. It was quiet. What was I thinking? Jack shook his head. He flew to his room and laid in bed, sound asleep.

☾☾Manny

Meanwhile, Manny sat at in his throne, hand on his eyes. They were wet from the tears he shed. He heard Jack's call, but refuse to respond. His wife heard his sniffles and cries. Being the kind and gentle wife she is, Tsarina Solar walk up to him, holding his hand, "My love, what's wrong?" Manny look up to his wife and turn to the Moon Crystal. There lied a hologram of Jack Frost staring into the moon. Lady Solar sighed, shaking her head, "Manny, why do you do this to him?" Manny shrugged, unable to speak. His hands were over his mouth. His eyes stared at the broken boy.

"I can't do anything. He has to do everything by himself." Manny sighed, "I don't want him to, but he must. The challenges he will face must be done one his own." He looked at his wife.

Lady Solar looked at Jack's hologram. She tilted her head, gazing at the winter spirit, and smiled, "Doesn't he look like someone?" Manny raised a brow. Lady Solar rolled her eyes, "Manny, you might not be able to help him, but someone else can. He doesn't have to do this alon, you know." She smiled, holding out her hand. A figure formed in her palm.

Manny's eyes widened and he shook his head, "No, absolutely not."

"Oh, why not? She's been dying to see Earth, my love. Everyday she's in the library, reading novels and books about it. She can stay at the North Pole with him and...."

Manny interrupted, "I said, no!" Lady Solar gasped. She never liked it when her husband yelled at her. Of course, so did Manny. He sighed and embrace his wife, "I'm sorry, my queen. That was uncalled for."

Lady Solar wiped her tears and smiled, "At least consider it. I believe that she'll make him stronger."

"They can also destroy each other....." Manny shook his head, "I don't want to loose her, Solar. We've tried so hard to get her and I don't want her to get hurt."

Lady Solar cupped Manny's cheeks, "She's more than ready, my love. You've seen her. She's been cooped up in that library for too long. She needs to get out and explore. Besides, Jack can help her with the fun aspect in life."

Manny was thinking through. Lady Solar watched, anxious for his answer. When he was done, Manny nodded, "Okay, send her to the North Pole."

"You mean it," Lady Solar gasped.

He grinned, nodding his head, "But it's only for a matter of time. Once Jack gets his new powers, she comes back here."

"Of course, my love." Lady Solar kissed his lips and ran out the door. Manny chuckled at his wife's childishness. He turned to the hologram. I hope your ready, my starlight. This won't be an easy mission.
