third and Jungkook's POV

After an intense two hour meeting, discussing the collaboration and the compromise, the meeting was finally done. I let my wife do most of the speaking since I was speechless at the sight of Jimin. He didn't even spare me a polite look, only glares that were only filled with hatred.

I got up out of my chair and waved off my wife to leave. Jimin was organizing his papers and nicely plopping them in his bag. He took his glasses off, and I decided to speak up.

"Jimin-"

"Mr. Jeon I am a very busy person, I cannot waste anymore time, including on talking," Jimin let out a soft sigh, "so, if you excus-"

"Wait," Jungkook gripped his arm.

"Let go," he hissed, ripping his forearm out of Jungkook's grasp.

"Just let me talk to you, please," Jimin turned and faced Jungkook staring deep into his eyes.

"What could you have to say?" Jimin was staring daggers right into him, "what more is going to help you now?"

"Jimin, just let me explain myself," he averted his gaze, "I know it's been longer than we expected-"

"Jungkook, a little longer, it's been 2 years," he stated, "not to mention the fact that you got married, you think I want an explanation?" Jimin was at his boiling point. "You left me and then didn't talk to me like you said you would!" Jimin barked, pain lacing his voice.

"Jimin, I know what I did, but it wasn't my choice, it was my parents. Their company wanted to connect the two businesses, there's and Lin Lins, my wife. I had no choice and I couldn't get out of it, but I texted Hoseok and told him that I missed you and that I would get back soon and-"

"Yeah 2 years later, with a wife. You could have disagreed and came back, but you chose to stay. I guess I wasn't good enough for you anymore." Jimin began to mumble as tears flooded his eyes.

"Jimin, I couldn't rebel and come back." The alarm in my head blared in my ears, telling me to stop. I couldn't tell him the truth, at least my mind didn't want me to tell the truth.

"Why?" Jimin asked, meeting his gaze.

"Because," He shouldn't know, he could be in great danger.

"Jungkook," Jimin let out a sigh and then a small smile, "this is why you are the biggest mistake of my life," his heart shattered.

"Please don't say that," Jungkook went to reach out for Jimin, but Jimin pushed him away, turning around to grab his jacket. He grabbed it and went to leave his office. Jungkook looked at the ground tears slipping down his cheeks. "I couldn't come back because my mom-" he breathed "-my mom threatened me," he shouted, that made Jimin stop in his tracks by the door. Jungkook raised his head. "She told me that if I didn't marry her-" Jungkook pinched the bridge of his nose, trying to get a hold of his emotions, "you would suffer."

"What do you mean." Jimin said coldly.

"No college, no food, no money, nothing," I mumbled, wincing at every word that came out of my mouth.

"You're lying, your parents don't have the right to do that." His voice cracked and his hands began to shake by his side.

"Jimin, they have the biggest company in the states, they can do anything. I just wanted you to be safe, I thought it was best for me to follow so that you wouldn't suffer. I guess I was wrong." Jungkook grabbed his phone and walked up to Jimin.

"Do you think I would have cared if I was broke?" He scoffed, "Jungkook, I just wanted you by my side, he walked away from me and down the hall before calling out, "there's no such things as third chances."

I just cried where I stood and then slowly walked to the stairs instead of the elevator. I got out of the staircase doors and walked to the exit.

Once I got there I tumbled into the car, not noticing my wife next to me, and screamed at the guy to drive.

"Honey what's wrong-"

"Don't"
