Vienna's POV

My plane arrived around one in the afternoon at Sydney airport. The only text I got the whole plane ride was Joy telling me that Calum had gotten worse overnight. I was so worried that I wasnt gonna make it in time to say goodbye. I got off the plane and practically sprinted to get my luggage. As I was walking out to the carpark I saw Calum's dad, David, standing there waiting for me. I ran up to him as he pulled me into a hug, letting all my tears go. "How is he?" I sobbed, as David grabbed my bags, putting them into the boot of his car. He turned around and gave me a sad look. "Not very well Vienna." He replied. Calums dad had always been the rock of there family. He was always the strong one. The positive one. But this was the first time id ever seen tears coming out of his eyes. Ive known him my whole life and this was the first time I had ever seen him cry. He was broken, he was a mess. The look he gave me after he spoke, he knew Calum wasnt going to make it. All of us did, but we need to have a little hope, right? We both got into the car, strapping ourselves in. "Im gonna put on the radio." David said, staring at me with no emotion in his eye or his face, whatsoever. I nodded. 'Thinking Out Loud' by Ed Sheeran started playing as I slowly moved my head to the beat. Before I left Calum told me this was our song. He even wrote me a massive text message using the lyrics. Hes such a dork. I smiled to myself, remembering it, before I spoke. "David?" I whispered, as he half turned his head to look at me then back at the road. "Yes Vienna." He replied stopping at the red light. "Why didnt he tell me he had cancer?" Just as I spoke those words he froze and turned his head to look at me. "He didnt tell you because he didnt want to break your heart and he didnt want to ruin your holiday." I shook my head in disbelief. "No matter when he would have told me it was going to break my heart." I replied. I was just so mad he didnt tell me, I was hurt. I just didnt know what I was going to say to him when I saw him. "Where here." David said, as we both hopped out of the car. I ran straight through the doors, running into Mali on the way. "Vienna." "Mali." She hugged me tightly. "Ill take you to his room." She said leading me down to Calum. "Room 127." I swallowed heavily, Mali giving me a sad look. "Are you ready?" She asked as I nodded. She slowely pushed the door open and there he laid. Wires and cords hanging from around him everywhere. "Calum."
