Chapter 13

"Its its uh positive." I whispered as I stares in shock at the three sticks. I honestly didnt know what I was going to do. I just started with this project and now I find out I have a baby inside me. My mum, dad and Mali looked at me with mouths agasp. I just broke down in tears. I dont know if they were tears of happiness or tears because Calum wasnt going to be here with me to raise it. "I dont know what to do." I whimpered into my mums chest. "Im gonna go for a walk." I said as put my shoes on the grabbed my phone and left. "Can I talk to you. Meet at the park in 10?" I texted to Luke as I went down to the park at the end of my street. I had know Luke since pre school and I just needed to talk to someone other than my parents about all this. "Ill see you soon V." He replied as I sat myself at a table waiting for him to arrive. "Hey." He called out as he walked over to me. I stood up and pulled him into a hug, crying straight away. "Are you okay?" He asked as I shook my head before wiping my tears away and looking up at him. "I-im pregnant." I whispered as he gave me a confused look. "Your what?" "Im pregnant." Luke sat us both down while rubbing small circles on my back. "I really dont know what to do. I know im not going to kill the baby because I could never do that but I dont know if I should keep it or put it up for adoption." I sighed as Luke hugged me again. "What do you think Calum would want you to do?" He asked me. "He would want me to keep it." I knew he would want me to but I dont know if I can. Im still young. "Thanks Luke." I smiled as he placed a kiss to my forehead. "Anytime Vienna."

It was now the New Year. You know people say 'New year fresh start' but I dont know if I want one of those. Todays is my first doctors appointment to see the baby. Mali, Luke and mum were all going with me. After the appointment is when I was going to tell the others. "Are you ready sweetheart?" Mum asked me as I nodded walking into the hospital. "Yes but I wish Calum was here with me to." I smiled. I dont cry much anymore. Some nights if ive had a bad day I will but other than that not really. "Vienna Smith." The doctor called as we all got up and walked down to the room with her. "Is this your first child?" She asked me with a smile as I nodded back to her and smiled. "Is he the lucky guy?" She asked pointing to Luke as she put the gel on my belly. "No he isnt. The father um passed away last year." "Im so sorry." She said. "Its okay." I gave her a reassuring smile as she continued. "Ready to see your baby?" "Yes." I practically squealed. She turned on the monitor and put the machine on my belly. There it was. My baby. I started to tear up again. "You okay?" Mali asked me as I nodded. "Im better than okay. Im gonna be a mum." I smiled as everyone around me smiled aswell. "Do you wanna know the sex of it?" She asked. "Yes please."
