How long have I had these feelings for her? For as long as I can remember. She's always been a lone wolf; her mother neglected her, her family was never around, and her dad left when she was young. She wants to pretend that she's strong, but I know she needs someone by her side. Someone who will love her and protect her through everything. I want to be that someone. I need to be that someone. She is the absolute love of my life and even though we haven't been dating for long, we've known each other for years and I've loved her all that time. I would whole heartedly give her my life if that was what it took to make her happy. From the day I met her, I knew I would marry her. That, I was sure of. In my eyes, nothing can be as perfect as her. Her long, wavy dark brown hair. Her stunning hazel eyes. Her sweet, slightly upturned nose. She was indeed perfect. Moreover, no one has ever quite understood me the way she does and even though she puts herself down because of all the drama her life causes and how it drags me into it, I'd never wish for anything different.

When we went to Seattle to meet her father, I managed to get some time alone with him. I asked her father for his blessing, and he said yes. Little did anyone know that I had picked a ring for her when I went to Italy this past summer. The same person who created her necklace also crafted this ring. It's been with me since before we even began dating. And today, that ring is in my pocket. It's been about a month since we returned from Seattle. This semester has finally ended and we were approaching the holidays. Now is the time. I'm taking her to the Santa Monica Pier for dinner, and after dinner I'm going to take her for a walk along the beach and pop the question. Let's hope she says yes.
