The sky darkened to a deeper shade of grey as I walked toward the schol building.

What a great way to start the first day after Thanksgiving break, I thought sarcastically. Even though I liked cold weather and rain, I didn't particularly like them together, and with the nagging feeling in my stomach, I just didn't like the start of my day.

I woke up late so I threw on anything and I almost couldn't eat breakfast cause the feeling in my stomach had me feeling like I had to throw up.

After I entered the school building I let my hood fall back revealing my messy straight hair that I refused to brush this morning. I took zombie like steps to first period sighing with sleep every now and then. Luck for me the bell rang as soon as I was in the door.

1 period Algebra AP didn't seem so fun anymore as I couldn't concentrate on anything being explained, and to top it off we took a pop quiz. No surprise here... I failed with a 35%. Today was definitely not my day.

2nd period was worse. My history teacher decided to make the class do research on a topic I was bound to forget in a week, then he made half the class talk about what they found. Needless to say I was part of that half and I sounded the least educated out of the 12 other students who spoke.

I trudged over to 3rd period as the rain pounded over the school roof. I was amazed the lights were still on with how hard it sounded. Nickol was already in her seat when I got into the door and she looked me over quickly.

"Milly you okay?" She asked concerned. In all honesty I think me and Nickol were having a fallout cause outside of this class we hardly spoke.

"Yeah Nicky I'm fine. Just didn't sleep to well." I said smoothly ignoring the next wave of discomfort in my chest.

"Oh okay. Ms. Hale wanted me to remind you we have practice after school." She said easily.

"Christmas concert?" I asked knowing there was no other reason for after school practice after Thanksgiving break.

"Yeah." I think she was ready to drop all conversion, but then it hit me. When did she see Ms. Hale she didn't have her till 7th? Plus the announcement for after school practice wouldn't be announce till the last period of the day.

"When did you run into Ms. Hale?" I asked confused.

"Oh, I got my schedule changed. I have choir second period now." She said with a nod, before chanting off her new schedule. We still had only this class together, but now she also had 2nd lunch.

"Wanna eat lunch together?" She asked. I nodded and that was the end of the conversation.

4th period (English AP) was pretty easy. I had already read the book Stuck In The Ocean a couple times before so reading one of my favorites was no biggy.

And then it was time for lunch. All day I thought that nagging feeling was strong, but now it was causing the most discomfort. I didn't know why, and I thought about just skipping lunch, but knew I couldn't.

Sighing I pulled the straps on my backpack tightening it to my spine. My stomach was doing flips and the only reason I had for staying was loyalty.... well that and because I couldn't say no.

I quickly took off my backpack and threw it on the table before dropping into the chair I pulled out. I looked around for Nicky and when I found her I inhaled a sharp breath.

She was standing side by side with Samuel giggling. It looked like they were flirting, but I ignored it thinking Nicky was one of my best friends and she would't want to hurt me. When she spotted me she waved and walked over Samuel in tow behind her. She pulled her wavy, black locks forward as she approached the table.
