~2 years later~
"Tim carry me, I don't feel like walking anymore." I whinned as the heels I was walking in started hurting my feet. It was in the middle of summer, and this party they had for me was way too much.
I decided on a college 2 hours away, and we as a family decided on a graduation/going away party for the middle of the year. So right now I had family and friends piled in the front yard, back yard, and in the house either drinking, joking or cooking. Some were talented enough to do all 3 at once.
"Nooo!" Tim said in a whinny voice mocking mine. Tim was a family friend-more family than friend- a few feet taller than me, with long black hair, brown eyes, and a few years older.
"Tim!" I whinned again causing him to let out a throaty laugh.
"What's Tim doing to you Mill?" My cousin Tammy asked as she looked around. She was probably looking for Macy in this crowded house.
"He doesn't want to carry me." I said making a puppy dog face.
"Uh-huh, that's nice." She said looking past me and Tim causing him to laugh again, well there was a puppy dog face wasted.
"Looking for Macy?" I asked her as she nodded furiously.
"Yeah. She was here one second then she took off. I don't know where she went." Tammy said in a worried voice.
"Oh don't worry me and Tim will find her. Right Tim?" I said with a raised eyebrow at him. He made a face before nodding mumbling sure.
"Great! I owe you guys." Tammy said walking off.
"Now, Tim carry me down the stairs." I said looking at the 3 steps separating the front yard from my house.
"Haha. No. You check the front yard I'll check the back." He said walking off. I huffed before rubbing my hands on the short summer dress I had on.
Ugh I hate steps, and heels, if it was up to me I'd be in slippers. Ohhhh yes, some nice fuzzy slippers sound perfect. With those super soft pyjamas, how awesome would that be. I thought as I examined the front yard. Sure enough there was a vibrant Macy hiding behind a tree. She wasn't too hard to miss with her now messy black hair pulled into pig tails.
"Macy, what are you doing?" I asked her before tickling her cauing her bust out in giggles.
"I'm hiding." She said through her giggle fit.
"You'd think that'd be obvious." Someone mumbled from the other side of the gate. My heart speed up slightly. That voice, it sounded so familiar yet so foreign.
"Did you find her, Milly?" Tim asked before I could bring my eyes to the stranger before me.
"Y-yee-yeah. Macy go with Tim so he can take you to your mom." I told Macy pushing her lightly in Tim's direction. Tim gave me a concerned look causing me to shake my head quickly.
I took a deep breath before turning back to the stranger standing with only a gate separating us.
"Hey, stranger." Samuel said looking me over. I had changed some in the past 2 years, but it wasn't like I was unrecognizable.
Instead of having dark brown hair that flowed over my shoulders, down my back, to rest past my butt, it was now a red tinted color that just brushed my collar bones. I dropped the glasses every now and then for contacts and I wore a little more makeup. I had gained the 20 pounds I wanted to lose, but other than that I was still me. I wasn't one of those cases where a girl changes her hair and makeup and ditches the glasses and it's like woah she's amazing. I was still the same old nerdy girl who didn't even look all that different and I'd proudly admit that.
