"Hello?" I answered the phone warily

"Hello?" I answered the phone warily. The call was from the hospital. I begged for it just to be a question.
"Hey Blair, we're going to need you to come in today."
I sighed. "Okay, no problem. Why?" I asked as I put my bowl into the dishwasher.
"Short staffed. There's some actors coming in from the new Marvel movie who want to spend some time with the kids." A nurse said on the other line.
"Okay that's fine, I'll be there as soon as I can." I said.
"Great thanks." She said and ended the call. I went through my apartment and into my room. I shoved on black jeans and a black button down shirt. I put on my black pumps then I put my hair up in a messy bun. I put some mascara on then grabbed my bag and name tag then headed out. I walked to the hospital because for once in London, it was actually warm. I finally got there and signed in. I put my stuff in my office and grabbed my clipboard, pen and wrapped my stethoscope around my neck.
"Doctor Nolan? Vanessa has requested your presence, she says she her G-tube is irritating." Emma the trainee said to me.
"Thank you. Could you get me a coffee Emma?" I asked.
"Of course." She smiled and we went opposite ways. I nodded and smiled at everyone who passed me on the way to Vanessa's room. I knocked on the door.
"Come in!" She shouted. I walked in and she was on her phone.
"Hey V, you okay?" I asked as I put gloves on. "Yeah, I just wanted you to check my G-tube. It's itching and it's peeling a bit." She said. "Lemme check." I sat on her wheely chair and sat in front of her bed. She lifted her shirt up and her skin was red around the tube.
"Is it sore?"
"No it's just annoying." I looked closer.
"Is that new tape?" I asked.
"Yeah that new Emma girl changed it. She also thought I was 12." She smiled.
"You're 16 you do not look 12. And that's different tape than what you usually get. Your skin's just irritated. I'll change the tape, give you some medication then you'll be golden." I smiled. I grabbed the tape and everything I needed.
"So I heard there are actors coming in today, is that true?"
"I think so yes."
"Do know what movie they're in?"
"It's a Marvel movie I think." I said
"Oh my god, do you think it's the new 'Spiderman' cast?" She asked excitedly. "There's a new Spiderman?" I asked doubtfully. "This is the second one of the franchise! How have you not seen it."
"I'm not a huge Marvel fan." I shrugged. Vanessa acted like she was dying.
"You...you don't like Marvel?"
"Don't be so dramatic." I laughed as I finished cleaning her up.
"No, this...this is horrible! What Marvel movies have you watched?" She asked wide-eyed and put her top back down.
"Uh, none." I said.
"WHAT?! You've never watched a Marvel movie?" She asked.
"No! I don't have time for movies V." I smiled and handed her some tablets and a cup of water.
"You scare me sometimes B. We should have a movie day on my birthday!" She exclaims. "And watch what?" I chuckled.
"Uh, Iron-Man, Captain America, Spiderman, Infinity War, Endgame-"
"Okay V, we can do that. But your birthday is in a month. Will I be able to still be your best friend that long if I don't watch those movies?" I asked.
"I guess I can allow it for a month. I can't believe I'm going to be 17! If I wasn't in this hospital every fucking second I'd be saving up for a new car." She tried to sound light-hearted but I could tell she was upset.
"V," I said, she looked at me.
"I still haven't got a car." I smirked. She burst into laughter.
"Only rich people in London have cars babe. And we're not in that category." I smiled. She coughed a few times and put her breathing tube on.
"You're a doctor come on." She smiled.
"I'm a doctor who likes to shop. And who spends too much money on Galaxy chocolate for you!" I laughed.
"Sorry not sorry." She smiled.
"Okay. Don't die anytime soon because your Spiderman will be coming to save you." I said dramatically.
"After that I'll die happily." She laughed. Vanessa was like a little sister to me. She was never focusing on what could happen with her condition, she always had a growth mindset and I loved her for that.
"Doctor Nolan, the actors are all here and ready to go." Emma said.
"Okay great." We started walking to where the cast would be.
"And Emma, please consult me before consulting any patients. Especially kids like Vanessa who have cystic fibrosis and could die from a G-tube infection which you almost gave her by putting the wrong tape on her." I said. "Yes of course. So sorry." She said timidly. We got to the staff room and there were three people. Zendaya, Jake Gyllenhaal and the guy who played Spiderman who I couldn't see because of the mask were standing chatting and there was one guy with a camera.
"Hey guys I'm Doctor Nolan, this is such an honour wow I'm a huge fan of you guys." I meant it. Well, to Jake, I loved his movies. I shook Zendaya's hand then Jake Gyllenhaal's hand.
"You can call me Blair by the way. Anything you guys need at all just ask me." I smiled. "Your name's Blair Nolan?" Spiderman actor asked.
"Yeah, nice to meet you." I held my hand out. He reached for his mask and took if off.
"It's Tom! Tom Holland?" He had a huge grin on his face. Wait...no way.
"Tom...holy shit!" I reached my arms out and he hugged me tightly.
"I haven't seen you since, what? Fifth year summer party?" He laughed. We broke apart.
"Yeah...Jesus Tom wow." I looked at him fully. He was still hot. Even hotter.
"You've grown up a lot holy shit!" I laughed. "Yeah you're not blonde anymore." He chuckled.
"Oh yeah and my hair has finally grown back since that traumatic incident." I joked.
"Oh my god! With the safety scissors oh my god." He pinched the bridge of his nose with embarrassment.
"I went to that Halloween party in first year as a cowboy because I couldn't go as anything girly."
"I chopped your hair off. Still one of the most embarrassing moments of my life." He chuckled. We stood for a moment in silence, looking at each other. Tom snapped out of it and turned to Jake and Zendaya.
"Oh, we were neighbours and like best friends until," Tom looked at me.
"Until I moved to Scotland for my Dad's work. But I came back after getting my nursing degree." I smiled.
"This is so cool. I remember that Halloween party so clearly." He smiled and blushed a bit. "Me too."
