8. Painful goodbyes

The next morning I walked towards the school when I suddenly saw Guzman holding Samuel from the neck of his jacket. I immediately ran towards them and placed my hand on Guzman's shoulder. ''Listen to me! It was Polo! He wanted to get Carla's watch. Christian knew about it. He was going to tell everything. Why do you think he was in an accident?'' Samuel exclaimed.

''What the fuck are you talking about?'' Guzman screamed at him.

''He's telling the truth Guzman!'' I said and both of them stared at me.

''How the fuck do you know?'' he snapped at me.

''Guzman, please. Listen to me.'' I told him and stared inside his eyes. ''We don't have proof, yet. But it was Polo, Guzman.'' I explained.

''You're saying bullshit!'' Guzman yelled at me. ''How the fuck do you know it wasn't his bastard of a brother?'' he exclaimed.

''Because!'' I started but cut myself off. ''I was with him the time it happend.'' I finally said more quietly. Before Guzman could say anything some teachers ran to us. Apparently Lu had called them.

''I'm bored of this.'' the principal said as Guzman, Samuel and I stood in front of her. Lu was standing not so far behind. ''I can't except it anymore.'' she continued.

''I didn't do anything! He attacked me!'' Guzman exclaimed.

''Guzman!'' I said.

''Is it true?'' the principal asked Samuel.

''Guzman attacked first.'' Lu said and Guzman sighed frustrated.

''What the hell are you talking about?'' Guzman exclaimed.

''Cut the act, Guzman. I can't recognise you anymore, you've become so violent.'' Lu said and Guzman filled with rage.

''Don't think you're getting away with this.'' the principal said and pointed at Samuel. ''I'll talk to your mother.'' she continued and then turned to Guzman. ''Guzman, you're expelled. Two days.'' she said and he stared at her in shock.

''Oh come on, we have exams.'' he said.

''Three days. Follow me, please.'' she said and Guzman rolled his eyes before following her. Samuel threw a look at Lu before walking away too.

''What was that?'' I asked Lu as we walked together.

''Some payback, after he cheated on me with her.'' she said.

''What did you do about Nadia?'' I asked her as we walked closer to our classroom for our first exam.

''Told her if she didn't fail in every class that I'll tell everyone about what she did with Guzman.'' she said with a satisfied look on her face.

''Lu...'' I exclaimed and sighed. ''Don't you think that's a bit much?'' I asked her and she stopped and turned to look at me.

''What is going on with you?'' she asked me. ''You of all people should know that in this world we live in, everyone looks after himself.'' she said and walked inside the classroom. I sighed knowing she was partly right.

I sat next to Lu and in the next desk sat Nadia. Lu gave her a smirk but Nadia took her pen and started writting the test. I looked at her and Lu confused but decided to concentrate in my own test.

After an hour while I was almost done with the test I saw Nadia standing from her sit, ready to give her test. Lu turned at her and gave her a sarcastic smile. ''What do you think you're doing?'' she whispered at her.
