"Natasha? Could you come here for a second?" Steve called out from the small dining area.

"One second, Rogers!" Her voice called back from the bedroom. She double checked her appearance. Her hands brushed her black dress making it smooth. She lightly ran her fingers through her now fully red hair.

She walked out to see all the lights off. Three candles lit the way to the dining area. Confused, Natasha walked to the room.

"Steve?" Her voice was unsure and she wonder where he could possibly be. She turned her head to the left and saw Steve. Next to him on the table was a bouquet of roses. Her cheeks flushed a little bit at the romantic moment.

He smirked up at her face. She rolled her eyes but quickly meet his baby blue eyes. She smiled warmly at him.

"Natasha, I am well aware you know what I am going to say but just let me talk." She just chuckled and grabbed his hands.

"I'm not going to make this too terribly long, because you are impatient." He joked and she laughed slightly.

"You mean everything to me, Nat. You have been there for me since the beginning. You were the first one to welcome me to the Avengers, the first one I really, fully trusted on the team. The one who made being on the run and being a 'criminal' tolerable. The one who I can't live without. Natasha,"

He gently lifted her chin up to make eye contact.
"I lost you once. I will never loose you again. I can't enjoy life without your smile, your laughter, your sarcasm, you." He pulled out a ring box and bent down.

Even though Natasha knew what was going to happen and even told him he should propose, she still gasped.

"Will you marry me?" Steve smiled up at her. She smiled widely and put out her left hand.
"Of course." She calmly said. In actuality she wanted to scream "YES!" but she didn't want to ruin her reputation.

Steve stood up. He was going to say something before Natasha flung herself onto him and gave him a deep kiss. She put her arms around him and hugged him tighter.

Steve broke the kiss much to Natasha's displeasure.
"Come on, if we are going to make it to dinner we have to go now." She pouted but grabbed his hand.

"We can continue later.." He whispered into her ear which made her laugh and lightly shove him.

Steve was beyond nervous for the wedding. He had no doubts that Natasha was the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with but he still had major nerves.

"What if I screw up my vows? What if I trip! What if I have something on me? What if-" Steve rambled in the men's dressing room.

"Calm down Steve. You will be fine." Sam reassured him with a pat on the shoulders.

Steve smiled back at his co-best man, tied of course with Bucky. He couldn't choose between the two. Well, he couldn't actually choose himself. When he told them both that he was going to marry Natasha they both argued over who would be the best man.

-flashback-

"NO! I will be Steve's best man! I've know him longer! He's practically my brother!" Bucky argued standing up from the couch.

"Oh yeah? Well he's my homie! My soul brother! We make an iconic duo!" Sam argued back standing up.

Steve just sat down on the couch rolling his eyes at his two best friends.
"Guys if this is going to be such an issue I will make Clint the best man." He calmly said taking a sip of beer.
