I pulled out the key from my back pocket that I was given and unlocked the door. I smiled, taking my first step inside the room. It wasn't as spacious as I thought, but it also wasn't as little as I know some are.

My smile hadn't disappeared from my face. I stood in the same place by the door because I was excited. I'm finally in college and attending the one I've wanted to go to since I was a freshman in high school. UCLA has been my dream for so long, so to actually be going here now is like a dream come true.

That smile that was plastered on my face was quickly turned into a frown when I got a view of something I wasn't expecting. A guy came walking out the bathroom with only a towel wrapped around his waist. My eyes damn near bulged out of my head when I saw him, although I must admit his body is nice.

What the hell is a boy doing in my dorm? Is he lost? Maybe I'm the lost one? I don't know, but I'm not going to make a fool of myself by standing here and doing nothing.

"Uhm I think you have the wrong dorm room," I chuckled nervously, making his attention rise to me.

"Me? Nah, you in the wrong place ma," he raised his eyebrow.

"No, actually I was told that this was my room. I even have a key. I'm just confused as to what you're doing in here," I said, referring to the fact that he's a boy, so we obviously can't room together.

"You got it mixed up. This is my dorm and my roommate is some nigga named Justin," he said.

"Justin?" I furrowed me eyebrows.

"That's what I said ain't it?" He said, smartly.

"Well my name is Justine. Maybe it was a typo," I said and he stared at me weirdly.

"Ion know. Why don't you go see. Close that door on your way out," he said, trying to dismiss me.

I don't know if he thinks I'm a dog or something, but I won't be dismissed like that. He can take his behind right out of this door, along with that funky ass attitude of his.

"I'm not going anywhere. I was assigned this room literally ten minutes ago. Feel free to leave though," I said and he chuckled, pulling at his chin hairs.

"You funny, you know that? I ain't going nowhere," he said, turning around and walking back into bathroom that I'm guessing we were expected to share.

I sighed, not exactly knowing what to do in this moment. What even are my options? I could go talk to the people in charge of this stuff and let them know that we have a mixup, but then I'd have to carry all my stuff back down those stairs.

I walked over to the room that I'm assuming was unoccupied because of the lack of things in the room. I sat my suitcases on the ground in there and looked around the room. I really like the space in here. It wasn't too small, but it was a cozy size.

I walked out of the bedroom and back into the living space area and sighed. I made sure I had my key, along with my phone before walking out of the room completely and making my way back down those steps and out the door of the building.

As I walked aimlessly, I had literally no clue where I was going. I don't even remember where the front desks were at that I stopped at earlier. As I continued strolling through campus, I glanced around at all the signs, hoping that at least one of them would point me in the right direction.
