ᴀᴜɢᴜsᴛ 23, 2019I walked around the corner and hopped back in my car that was parked further down the street from where I was. I put the little baggie of pills I got into the glove compartment for later and grabbed my phone, calling Justine. I talked to her briefly before I left the dorm, but I miss her voice.
"Hello?" She answered, sounding tired.
"Wassup," I said.
"Hey, Chris," She said.
"What you doing?" I asked her.
"You distracted me. I'm at work," she chuckled.
"Damn, my fault. I just missed you," I said.
"Aww, how sweet," she chuckled. "What are you doing?"
"I'm probably bouta head to where you at," I said, starting up my car.
"I thought you had two classes today?" I she asked.
"Ion feel like going no more," I shrugged as if she could see me.
"Chris," she sighed.
I know she's disappointed because this is like my third time not going to classes in a row. I just don't feel no type of motivation. The only reason I go sometimes is because Justine be ready to kick my ass until I get up and go. She's really my only motivator.
"It's cool," I reassured her.
"No, it's not. You should be in class," she said.
"I'll be fine. You should get back to work before you get yourself fired," I said.
"Okay. Please go to class," she said.
"Whatever," I said.
"I swear to god, if you show up at my job I'll punch you," she said.
"Is that a threat?" I smirked, making my way there anyways.
"I'm not playing," she said, trying to sound stern.
"Ight, bye," I said and hung up before she could protest some more.
I'm glad she cares for me this much, but I don't need her stressing for me. I do enough of that myself. I don't go to class because I choose not to. And last time I checked I'm a grow ass man.
