The wind was bitter cold.

Freezing even.

However, Kakashi didn't mind one bit as he shuffled his way out the doors of the small yet homie pet shop where he worked. His heart wrenched to see all those poor animals whimper for him to return but he had no choice to look away. 'No, you are not going to get a pet! You know you don't have time to look after one.' He mused to himself locking up the doors before he turned around to head home.

A loud crash caught his attention, strolling down the alley way with a frown swearing he had heard something odd until his eyes finally set on a dirty yet fluffy tabby cat. The tabby hissed his fur standing on end as if Kakashi were to attack him. "Ssh.. it's ok kitty. I'm not going to hurt you, here have some treats" he whispered holding out his hand with a couple cat treats that he may have stolen.

The tabby narrowed its eyes, suspicious of Kakashi actions but he didn't really have a choice, he was hungry, cold and had no place to go. At least this human was kind enough to lend him something he supposed. With that in mind the tabby slowly walked towards Kakashi eating the treats in his hand with a soft ' meow'. Usually Kakashi would take strays like these to the pet shop to clean them up but he had this pull that just told him to keep the tabby. He wasn't much of a cat person but it wouldn't hurt to give it a try.

While the cat ate, Kakashi slowly moved his other empty hand to gently pet the cat catching the on that it didn't seem to affect the cat before picking him up by the scruff and into his arms. The tabby almost seemed to be in shock, it's dark brown eyes growing owlish but Kakashi didn't have time to check as he made his way back home, hoping to get away the cold. 'At least he isn't wiggling in my arms or trying to scratch me' the silver haired male thought to himself until he felt sharp claws dig into his skin, wincing in pain but kept a tight grip on the cat. 'I spoke too soon' he mused.

Once inside Kakashi was quick to place the tabby on his couch sitting down besides him holding out his scratched hand. "Oi.  That was rather mean of you to cut me when I was just trying to give me a safe home." He said with a pout or at least what seemed to be a pout from behind his mask. The tabby titled his head to the side flicking his ear before gently licked the scratch on Kakashi hand giving him a silent apology. Just watching the tabby apologize made Kakashi have the cuddle the cute cat to bits but refrained himself with all his might. However, his patience only lasted so long from the bright dark eyes that gazed at him begging eyes and kakashi pulled the tabby inside his arm nuzzling the soft cheeks on the cat and played with the pink toes beans from under the tabby's paw. "You should really be careful mister tabby or else I might just keep you here. " Kakashi teased touching the tip of the tabby nose with his own.

Suddenly, a cloud of smoke completely enveloped the tabby causing Kakashi to cough and wave a hand in attempt to disperse the smoke. Only after the smoke cleared up his Kakashi jaws dropped as a tan skinned and dark haired man with cat ears and a tale stand in the middle of his living room naked. "Master!~ I'm so glad to finally be able to speak with you I've ben stuck a cat for so long ~" iruka said practically tacking Kakashi to the ground while pressing against him and nuzzled his cheek.

'I don't know what's going on but this is heaven.'
