Chapter 6: Entertain me

The next morning went like the rest and when I got to school Chie and Yukiko were talking about some weird guy that stopped Yukiko by the schools entrance.
"That's happened to me before..." I sign and set my bag down.

"You can be totally harsh sometimes, last year you cut me down cold as well." Yosuke says looking at Yukiko.

"No... no I didn't."

"So that means you do want to go out with me?"

"I'd prefer not to." She says straight faced. Ouch.

"Cause I suck... well I got my sights set on someone else."

"Oooh it's Saki! What a lucky girl hehe" I say excitedly trying to hype him up but he blushes

We continue talking and we find out Saki hasn't been replying to him. Hmm that's weird I think to myself but before we can finish our conversation we hear sirens outside. We're called to an assembly and I realize Yukiko wasn't around. "Where's Yukiko?" Narukami asks and Chie says she just got a text back saying she needed to go help out at the inn. "Inn?" Narukami and I look at each other. We learn her family owns the nicest inn around.

While we're waiting for the assembly to start I turn and talk to Yosuke. "So what do you think this is about? It's kind of scary."

"I have no clue but I'm sure it can't be too serious..." I can tell he's really worried but I don't blame him, so am I.

Our home room teacher got on stage and told us to be quiet in the rudest way possible because the headmaster was going to speak. What came next shocked everyone. "I'm afraid I have some terrible news. One of our own students was found dead this morning. Saki Konishi." No one says anything. I mean, what were we suppose to say? We all turn and look at Yosuke who looks as if he's going to cry. I can't imagine how he must feel.

Once the assembly is excused Yosuke runs off ahead of us. We can't really make it to him because all the other students but we finally see him again. We stop kind of far away and all I want to do is comfort him but before I can take another step Narukami grabs my wrist and says "give him space."

"So uh.. did you watch the midnight channel last night?

"Why are you talking about that right now-" Chie is cut off.

"Would you listen to me for a second! I decided to watch it again and I'm pretty sure I saw Saki on thay screen. You remember how someone said Ms. Yamano was his soulmate? Well they say her and Saki died the same way. I don't think it's a coincidence." He turned away from us again.

"Yosuke..." I mumble.

"So you're saying who ever ends up on the midnight channel ends up dead?" Narukami clarifies what Yusuke is saying.

"That actually makes sense." I pitch in.

We all continue to listen and talk to him and I manage to go up and give him a hug. I mess with his hair and he holds me back.

He decides without any room for reasoning that he's going to go back into the tv and before you know it we're standing in Junes in front of the one we used before. He has a rope tied around him but I doubt that will do anything. "I-I'll go with you. I don't want you going alone, Yosuke." I grab the rope and start tying it around me.

"I'll go too then." Narukami begins to do the same.

"Thanks you guys." Yosuke hands the end of the rope to Chie.

"You can't be serious..."

"Stop asking that. Come on let's go." With that we fall back in.

Before we can get up the bear runs at us and yells "it's you again! Why did you come back here! You know, you guys are looking pretttyyyy suspicious. Lately someone has been stuffing people down here before the fog clears up." Hs furrows his eyebrows at us.
"When exactly does it clear?" Narukami sure asks a lot of questions.
