Delia's POV:

It has been so long since I've heard from my son. "I wonder what he's up to right now?" I asked myself as I washed the dishes.

As I cleaned one of the plates in the sink I thought about what I would do to my son the next time I see him. 'I wonder. Should I strangle him for not calling me every day or should I hug him till he passes out.' I thought to myself.

Just as I was about to come up with an answer I looked up through the window above the sink and saw a silhouette walking down the driveway. 'Ohh must be the milkman' I thought, but after thinking about it for a second I realized that the milkman makes his runs on Tuesdays not Fridays.

I noticed now that the silhouette was coming further into view and was coming closer and closer to the house. I decided to turn off the sink and walk out to the front porch. When I got out there I started to ask who it was until I noticed a certain Pikachu on the mans shoulder and an awfully familiar red cap on the man's head.

"Ash? I asked myself in a whisper.

Then he responded like he had heard me. "Hey mom how have you been?" He then started to wave at me.

"AAAASH!" I screamed at the top of my lungs as I rushed off the front porch and towards my son who I haven't seen in 7 years.

Normal POV:

Ash extended his arms out for a hug while his mom was running at him screaming "MY BABY'S HOME! MY BABY'S FINALLY HOME!" Right as she got close enough to Ash, however, she slapped him right across the face. Not hard enough to leave a mark, but, at the same time, hard enough to teach him a lesson.

Ash recoiled from the blow. "I deserved that didn't I."

"Ash Ketchum don't you ever worry me like that again do you hear me! You had me worried sick!" Delia yelled to make sure Ash understood her.

"Yes ma'am and I'm sorry I never called. I was just caught up in training and such." Ash was clearly hurt from the welcome home present he had just received.

"There is no excuse in the world for not calling your own mother." Delia replied. "Do you understand me?"

"Yes Ma'am"

"Good. Now did you change your underwear everyday like I told you too?"

"MOOOOOOM!" Ash yelled out in embarrassment.

"Well I'm sorry for worrying about my son and his well being. Now come here and give me a hug." Delia grabbed for him and squeezed him until she was finally satisfied.

"Now you and Pikachu come inside. I was just about to start dinner."

"Well what do you say to that Pikachu?" Ash asked.

"Pika pika!" (Of course!) He was beaming from ear to ear as Ash and his mother walked inside of the house.

Ash and Pikachu say down in the living room and watched TV while they waited for dinner. After Delia finished dinner and Ash set the table they sat down to eat and talked about life.

"So how were your travels since Unova son. I bet you made a lot of new friends." Delia smiled at Ash.

"W-well I actually never tried to make new friends mom. After I split up with Iris and Cilan, I went back to Sinnoh to start from scratch. Then from there I just travelled alone." Ash told his mom and her smile instantly faded away.

"Well you have to had met someone you would call a friend." Delia exclaimed shocked with Ash's claim.

"No, not even one. I just didn't want any distractions so I could finally fulfill my dream."
