Chapter 8: the Realization

3 Hours Later

As the party was coming to an end, more and more people were leaving until there was no one left except Ash, Brock, Misty, Dawn, May, Delia, and Professor Oak. Delia was on her way out the door.

"This was fun, but I better get going. I have some shopping I have to do and if I wait any longer then I just won't want to go. Bye!" Delia waved to everyone before turning around and walking out the door.

"Bye!" Everyone responded and with that she left.

"Sorry guys, but I better get going as well. I can only be away from the gym for so long. There's probably a line of trainers waiting to get their badge. I'll see you all later. Bye!" Brock said as he made his way out the door.

"Bye!" Everyone responded and with that he left as well.

"So, what do you three want to do?" Ash asked the girls.

"How about we go shopping!" May responded.

"Yeah!" Both Misty and Dawn cheered. Ash just laughed.

"Well have fun with that. I'll catch you three later. Come on Pikachu!" Ash yelled to his companion who was busy emptying a bottle of ketchup.

"Pikapi!" Pikachu yelled as he jumped onto his shoulder, ready for the journey home.

"Okay Ash. You know where we are if you change your mind." Dawn smirked playfully.

"Trust me. I won't." Ash said, while grinning.

Ash started to make his way out the front door, but was halted by Misty's beauty. He stood there for more than a few seconds just staring at her. Misty began to blush. Dawn and May noticed this and grinned at each other from ear to ear.

"Are you sure you haven't already?" Dawn asked, smirking at Ash. This caused Ash to realize what he was doing and he immediately looked toward the ground and began to blush.

"Yes I'm sure Dawn." He said looking up at her.

"Bye guys!" Pikachu and Ash made their way out the door and toward Delia's house.

"Bye!" The girls said in unison. They then looked at each other.

"Well what are we waiting for? Let's go!" May yelled as she rushed out the door followed by Misty and Dawn.

1 Hour and 35 Minutes Later

"What do you girls think of this?" Misty walked out of the changing room with her hair down and she was wearing a beautiful light blue crop top with a matching skirt and black high heels.

"Eeeeeeeeeeeeeek." The girls squealed.

"Your... your gorgeous!" Dawn screamed.

"Ash will love..." May was silenced with a elbow to the side before she could finish her sentence.

"Hey! What was that for?"

"For not keeping your trap shut!" Dawn hissed.

"What do you mean?" Misty gave May a puzzled look.

"Well aren't you two dating." May asked. Dawn covered her face with her hands out of embarrassment.

"W-what made you think that?" Misty asked nervously. Her face was solid red.

"Well the looks you two were shooting each other throughout the party was my first clue." May began. "Then when Ash was leaving and you two were just staring at each other I thought that maybe there was more to you guys' relationship then the rest of us were lead on to believe." May responded ducking down. She was scared she was about to be on the receiving end of Misty's mallet.
