Walking down the street in a crowd of people you're invisible, to them you're just another stranger. Caught up in our plans we aren't even aware of how many mobsters, rapists, murderers have passed us by when here and there they just seemed like normal people.

You don't think about this stuff until something bad happens until someone close to your heart gets hurt.

The immersive guilt couldn't leave Racheal since the moment she saw Micheals face on tv right next to the personification of the fear of many Gotham citizens - The Joker.

She thankfully wasn't pronounced death or anything like that, but she was gone. There was no trace or sight of her for a week straight since her supposed kidnapping by the clown prince of crime.

The truth was regardless of how much they wanted to deny it, they knew that most likely she wouldn't come out of this alive... Everyone he encountered was either shot, tortured and died a slow agonizing death.

The last of her voice was heard on the telephone call for the ambulance, it was for their dear friend Sam that now laid in a hospital because of a knife that was stuck to his side. Laying unconscious on her kitchen floor the pour fella almost bleed out and if it wasn't for the call he would already be dead.

The feeling choked on her, killed her on the inside she meet with Michelle the same day she was attacked and then later kidnapped.

If she would have been more careful maybe she would have caught sight of a stalker or something strange, but she was too caught up in talk about simple everyday bullshit when she could have saved her life.

Now everything's been getting worse, she felt useless, going to work wasn't even an option. The thought of Michelle's dismembered body with a smile cut across her cheeks haunted her all the time. It was unbearable, but she couldn't bring herself to think of anything else.

At this point alcohol didn't even help to soothe her chaotic mind, to forget about everything. Every time she drank it was a sociable thing, she did it with her friends... She even did it most of the time with goddamn Micheal...

Everything was a reminder of her friend, so crying naturally became a regular thing. She told everyone she knew she felt sick just to be alone, but Diane had other plans dragging her out of the apartment in quite a questionable state, if not her she without a doubt would be spending her day the same as the other ones drowned in an unescapable misery.

The whiteness of the hospital hallway was sickening, under the greenish, bright, intense hospital lightning she noticed how her other friend had deep dark rings under her big brown eyes. That made her realize that maybe she wasn't the only one who was suffering.

Out of all of this, she forgot that Michelle had other friends too and Diane was one of them. From what she heard they knew each other ever since high school. Personally, Rachel was introduced to Diane during one of their wild Saturday night out's, she was the quiet girl, but it changed as the night went by. Spontaneously Diane became her friend too.

When they appeared at his door with number 107, they looked at each other knowingly before one of them brought herself to open it. Diane was here before and she couldn't help but smile in relief when she saw that Sam no longer was pale, but finally had some color to his skin.

You could say that he looked alright, but the state of his mind was the exact opposite of that. He blamed himself even more than Rachel for the disappearance or even possible death of Micheal, after all, he had given himself the role of being her guardian angel and he failed it.
