Athena Hawthorne is just your average fifteen year old girl from the Seam. Petite and skinny, olive skin and dark eyes. Gale Hawthorne's younger sister. When the seventy fourth games come around, she finds herself caught in a situation. One just as similar as the infamous Katniss and Peeta's.

In this book, everything is pushed back a year. Basically, Katniss and Peeta's games were the seventy-third year. Katniss and Peeta still won their games, but they have to have one more games before the quell. Katniss is seventeen in this book, Peeta is seventeen, Gale is nineteen, etc. Heavensbee is the head gamemaker, and Seneca Crane was still executed. The tributes in the seventy-third games were completely different, and Clove, Thresh, Rue, Cato, etc are tributes in the seventy-fourth still. But I am changing the arena because why not. Also, there's a debate on if Cato is sixteen or eighteen. In this book, Cato is sixteen. This is just to clear everything up, and make it more understandable.
