"SO YOUR SAYING that I should pull a Johanna Mason?" I ask Haymitch, as we sit at the table. This morning, Haymitch barged into my room and made me come sit at the table. The others weren't even up yet.

Johanna Mason was the victor of the seventy-first Hunger Games. She won her games by pretending to be weak, so she wouldn't be seen as a threat. When there was only a couple tributes left, she used her skills with an axe, and killed the remaining tributes.

"Sweetheart, that's exactly what I'm saying. The Capitol already underestimates you, use it to your advantage. We all know that Ashton is, gonna join the careers. That alliance is out. I know that you can use a bow. If Katniss says you can, than you can. What other skills do you have? Come on, sweetheart work with me."

I roll my eyes. "I'm pretty good with a bow and arrow. I know all my survival skills, I'm decent with knives. It's been a while since I've thrown one though."

"How good?" Haymitch ask, and I pick up a butter knife. I throw it, and it hits the painting behind us, right in the middle. This actually surprises me, because I haven't thrown a knife in years.

"I guess we have our strategy. Ashton is, gonna join the careers. That alliance is out. Who else do you have to impress?" Haymitch says.

"Sponsors." I answer. Sponsors is the main reason that I'm hesitant to do this. No sponsors, is a way of no survival. If I stay out of trouble, I'll be fine. But if I don't, that's another story.

"I'll make sure you get them. Once they see you in the arena, you'll be okay. I'm just saying, don't show your skills in training, and get a score between four and seven at your private sessions. Don't tell Katniss and Peeta about this though, because they might tell Ashton, and the plans ruined. It stays between you and me," Haymitch says. "And sweetheart, take it easy on Katniss. She doesn't want to do this as much as you don't."

I roll my eyes. "Okay, Whatever." As if on cue, Katniss and Peeta walk to breakfast.

"What were you two talking about?" Peeta asks.

Haymitch flashes me a smile. "Oh nothing. Nothing important at least." Peeta seems suspicious though. "Okay, fine." He piles his plate with pancakes, fruit, and this thing called hot chocolate. Hot chocolate is like melted chocolate that's heated up. I've never had it though.

"Where'd you get that necklace?" Katniss asks me. My eyes go down to my neck and I realize I still had it on. I didn't even notice it was there. "Prim gave it to me."

"She said goodbye to you?" Katniss surprisingly asks. I know Katniss, it's so hard to imagine that anyone would come stay goodbye to me. I bite my lip, convincing myself to be nice to my mentor. "Yeah, why?"
