Sasuke's Revolution

Chapter 2-The Wedding Arrangement

The sound of a raging chainsaw washed out the woman screaming as she locked herself in the bathroom. The killer stalked towards the door and sliced it vertically in a careless manner,it would take a miracle right now for the woman to survive. As the masked man raised the weapon to end her life.

"Sakura...." Moegi's voice called from her room.

Sakura slightly jumped at the sudden pitch calling for her. Huddled up and feeling safe in her blankets she almost refused to let her feet touch the ground resulting the alertness and fright from the horror movie. She decided to check on her sister as there was a evident worry in her voice. She was responsible for her siblings from now on.

She entered the bedroom and asked,"What is it?"

Moegi cuddled up in her bed sheets covering her entire body and gripped it covering half of her face with fear in her tone,"I hear noises coming from the window."

Sakura replied with the same tone,"Why would you get me involve then?!"

Moegi looked at her in a worried and sibling leadership way,"Okay, would it make you feel better if I checked?" to which Moegi quickly nodded.

Sakura looked out the window that stood above a writing desk but only viewed the lonely background's garden and further past that the small forest. "There is no one there." Sakura replied.

"But I saw bright lights coming from it." Moegi said frantically.

"Probably just the nearby village past the forest." She reassured her. She lead her back down to bed, told her about being too paranoid and tucked her in before leaving. Entering the living room she turned off the movie, folded up the blankets and headed to bed.

She awoke to the sound of her alarm beeping. Pressing it off, she stretched and got up to finish today's work. Neatly plaiting her hair into a slack braid so it doesn't get in the way she made her way down to the kitchen. (She looks like the picture above.) Mixing pancake batter as she eyed the eggs and bacon frying Konohamaru rushed into the room.

"Morning Big sis, what's for breakfast?"

"Did you put your clothes in the washing machine like I said yesterday?" She said with annoyance at his lazy attitude to do any chores.

"Umm... Not yet..." he said with a cheeky grin while scratching his head. Sakura looked at him with serious manner.

She bent down slightly to meet his eyes,"Now! Or no breakfast!"

"Hai!" He exclaimed frightened and rushed to the washing room. "Boy, she's scary in the morning." He mumbles.

"I heard that!" Sakura shouted from the kitchen.

Udon and Moegi came in shortly after and assisted Sakura with cutting the fruits for the meals. Soon the breakfast was finished with Sakura setting down the last fluffy pancake on the plate. Syrup and soy sauce were placed on the sides of the table.

Kakashi walked in lazily,"Morning everyone."

Morning" they all mumbled with their mouth half full of food.

He took a seat next to Sakura and placed his breakfast.

"Sakura's food is the best!" Konohamaru said with a face full of wonder and twinkly eyes.

"Yea you better say that." Sakura replied almost giggling.

The three Genins finished their breakfast and went to their rooms to finish their morning chores. Kakashi looked over to Sakura and hesitantly asked,"Did you hear the rumor about an organization trying to attack and take over Konoha? I didn't want to say it in front of those three to scare them."

"I heard some doctors talking about it in the hospital. I wouldn't worry too much sensei, Sasuke is the strongest Shinobi in the world, has all nine tailed beasts under his control and the most skilled Anbus. It would be suicidal to carry out threats like that at this point." Sakura replied with a blank expression.

"Hn..." Kakashi nodded agreeing with her.

The five all got ready and hurried off to work. Kakashi had another mission which last until two weeks so the four would be on their own. After her shift she came back home to prepare dinner. Turning on the stove and boiling the broth for miso soup,"You came home early today."

A bit startled she looked behind her to see Ryo standing there leaning his left side on the kitchen door. He was given a mission to the Land of Water and it ended a few days earlier so he came to spend a few days with her and her siblings.

"Yea, umm.. my schedule didn't have a lot of patients today. Just had to fill out medical inputs on documents for majority of the day." she replied calming down.

"Ok..." he said after pressing his lips together and sitting down on a chair unsure on what else to say. Awkward silence  filled the room as Sakura continued to slice the vegetables. Their engagement was more of a convenience to fellow past shinobis for hopes of the future.
