Chapter 6-Warning from the Moon

I usually update monthly. I'm sorry if I haven't said this before but this is not a happy ending. Naruto and everyone else is dead and there is no hope left for the ninja world. Though its afternoon, the village carried on their daily activities quietly than Sakura remembers. Usually it was loud filling with laughter of children and chats of people. Now it just lag along in uncomfortable silence. Sakura and approached a traditional Japanese style home with the name Hatake imprinted unto the door. Sakura thanked for his assistance and knocked on the door. Kakashi opened the door appearing with some sweat pants, net vest and a white towel nestle in his hair. It seemed as though he was showering earlier.

"Sakura, what brings you here?" Kakashi asked surprised.

"Kakashi sensei, I need to discuss something important with you." The seriousness of Sakura's tone alerted him allowing her to come in.

"What's so important?" he asked sitting flat on the ground around a table. S

akura followed his lead sitting down,"I heard a peculiar conversation between Sasuke and Kabuto."

Kakashi eyes rose in questioning,"Kabuto? But I thought he was dead."

Sakura focused her vision on the table separating them across each other."I thought so too. But he isn't. Sasuke asked him to step down so I could take over the hospital yesterday. But that isn't the worst part. I heard them talking about the five Kages and Naruto's body. Apparently they're keeping them in one of Orochimaru's lab for preservation."

Kakashi listened attentively,"But why would Sasuke still kept them. The purpose of him assassinating them is so that they wouldn't get in his way for his revolution."

Sakura closed her eyes and pressed her lips together bracing herself for the major part,"They said they are planning on casting the Edo-Tensei on all of them."

She opened one eye in hesitation to see Kakashi eyes widened in fear. His expression looked as pale as a ghost,"E..Edo-Tensei?! Its a impure reincarnation. That could only mean Sasuke plans to use the five Kages and Naruto's body under his control..."

Sakura slammed her hand on the table and got up angrily,"So that's what he intends to do?! He wants to use them as his personal puppets to do his bidding?!"

Sakura got started marching out of the house until her sensei caught her by the arm,"Sakura, no..."

She turned to him glaring,"What do you mean no?! Does he think people lives are just toys that he can play with and use?! What about Naruto?! He gave his life trying to save him and this is what he does to him?!"

Kakashi was lost for words. His entire life was filled with deaths and misery. He saw his father's dead body lay there without uttering a word, he watched his comrades die and only shed tears of pain, he heard of his sensei and wife's death while trying to protect the village and child yet couldn't offer anything to help, lost all his friends during the fourth shinobi war, let two of his students fought till the end costing one of them their life and the other lost in his darkness and hate, he experienced it all. He just couldn't let his other student, who was much like a daughter to him, rampage up there and get herself possibly killed. He only has a few people left in his life.

"Sakura, there is nothing we could do about it. We're all helpless in this situation." His own words were like a stab to his chest.

There was no hope left in this dark world and all people had to do is stay strong. Sakura fury turned into tears. Kakashi brought her into his chest and hugged her as she cried her heart out. She couldn't face it. He couldn't watch her teammate and best friend be used as puppet strings by her other best friend, the first man she ever loved. Sakura cried into her sensei's arms for minutes in what felt like hours.

"Sakura, you should head back to your residence. It's getting dark." Kakashi pleaded.

Sakura saw the dusk lighting peering through the windows and doors fading away slowly as time went by bringing nightfall. Raising her face from his vest covered in her wet tears she rubbed away the excess tears running down her cheeks.

"Keep your faith high Sakura. You're known for doing so even in difficult circumstances. Don't let him crush you." she smiled at his supporting words sniffing her nose.

"Thank you, Kakashi sensei." he stood up and nodded helping her up from the ground.

He lead her out the door giving her one last hug. She stared up at the moon for comfort but noticed something wasn't right. The moon, it seemed bigger than usual.

'I'm probably just tired and stressed. I should get some sleep.' brushing it off her mind.

"Goodnight Kaka-" he turned to wave off at him but saw him also staring at the moon in questioning.

"The moon... it seemed its doubled in size." he looked on intently. Her eyes averted in his direction at their similar observation.

"You too? I mean... I just realized."

Kakashi returned vision on her,"It looks as though its coming towards the Earth." Sakura eyes widened at the thought.

"Sakura chan! Kakashi san!" Kakashi and Sakura alerted themselves at the person shouting their names.

Ryo came running towards them finally catching up,"I've been looking for you everywhere!" Ryo placed his hands on his knees trying to catch his breath.

Sakura run up and supported him,"Ryo kun, what's the matter?"

Ryo focused so much on his breathing from running the entire village looking for them he almost forgot the emergency. He sprinted up and held her shoulders almost shouting,"Hanabi! She's been kidnapped!" Sakura's manner was unchanged until his words sunk in.

"What?!" Kakashi and Sakura both exclaimed in union.

The word of Hanabi Hyuga being kidnapped spread across the village. Kakashi, Ryo and Sakura hurried to the Uchiha castle to report the situation. A woman dressed in a nurse uniform ran up from their right side and almost tackled Sakura gripping her arm for balance from the sudden halt.

"Sakura san! A patient is in critical condition! You're needed in the hospital immediately!", she exclaimed tugging on Sakura's arm in the direction to the hospital. Sakura turned her head back and forth conflicted between the castle and hospital.

"Sakura, go take care of the patient. We'll report on Hanabi san." Ryo beckoned her.

Kakashi nodded in agreement and Sakura ran to the hospital with the nurse hands still on her arm guiding her. Sakura speedily walked into one of the clinic's room and met with a very tall man whining in pain. He had dirty orange hair and his skin appeared in a mud color due to some sort of transformation. The other man accompanying him was smaller sized in comparison that had white hair and purple eyes that looked pretty badly beaten up himself. They both sat in the patient's bed breathing huffs of breaths for comfort from the pain while the smaller one placed his hand on the shoulder of the larger one seeming to calm him down.

"What happened?" Sakura asked in a professional manner.

"We saw someone taking away Hanabi Hyuga from the village and tried to stop him. They attacked us." Suigetsu answered frantically.

Sakura senses alerted at the name while running her green chakrah over their temples. She tried gently guiding her palms over their body to feel for internal injuries. "Did you recognize the person?" she asked.

Suigetsu shook his head side to side,"No.. The person wore a robe. Only their eyes were visible." he replied. Sakura's eyes glared in frustration at the news.

"Could you please remove your hand from his shoulder. Its a bit of a bother." she asked pleadingly.

"I can't. I have to keep Juugo under control. Its the only thing that's stopping him from losing it and killing everyone in here." Suigetsu stated.

"I understand." Masking the green glow over her hand she pushed it in Suigetsu's chest feeling for sensitive injuries.

"It looks like the person used a technique that caused serious physical damages to you." she said directly her observations to Suigetsu.

"Lightening release. Its my weakness."

Concentrating she released chakrah in his cell division and flowed it through his blood streams to heal his damaged internal organs. Suigetsu felt the burning pain in his body seized and let out a gasp of breath in relief. Sakura flicked his forehead enough to cause a tiny pain in his skull.

"Ow! What was that for?!" He covered his temple with both his hands in defense.

"Who tells anyone their weakness you idiot?!" she looked sternly at him.

His pout changed to a smirk,"You have a point. At least you have a reason to hit people unlike Karin." Her attention moved from him to the other man and did the same examination.

"They striped you of some of your chakrah?!" she asked shocked.

"He tried to but I knocked him out of the way before he could get all of it." Sakura once again shoved her green glowing hand into Juugo's chest but this time poured her chakrah into him. Juugo relaxed and his transformation receded returning to his tan skin tone.

"Thank you." Juugo said.

The doors slammed opened revealing a raging red head,"There you two are! Do you have any idea how long I was looking for you!" She marched up to them angrily while glaring at Sakura.

"Geez well I'm sorry Karin. I should have dragged my injured ass up there to be at your service." Suigetsu argued.

"What happened to you two anyway? You're suppose to be delivering important documents personally to Lord Uchiha." Karin placed her hand on her hip asking curiously.

Suigetsu was about to argue back until Juugo spoke up in a calming tone,"We were. But walking up the hills we saw someone taking away the young Hyuga Heiress and decided to go after them. The person was stronger than we interpreted and we got badly hurt. We're fine now thanks to the doctor." Karin briefly looked at Sakura and back at the men.

"Yeah... Hanabi Hyuga's kidnapping was already reported to the Hokage's office." 

Sakura wrote their medications off on a paper to help get better before handing it to them. She silently walked out of the the room keeping her eyes on the ground and ignoring the stares she felt behind.

Closing the door she was about to leave but stopped barely hearing her name mumbled. Looking around for other medical staffs she masked her chakrah. She heard that Karin was a professional sensory type so she transpire some of Katsuyu's slug slime through her body to mask her chakrah and listened to them quietly pressing her ear at the door. It was an ability one can do in slug sage mode to cover their chakrah traces completely even to special sensory ninjas.

"Do you still think Sasuke Uchiha is trying to have an heir?" Juugo asked his teammates.

"I'm sure he is. He's still looking for a mate to help him." Suigetsu said with a quick amount of shuffling in the room.

"I see" He's probably looking for someone with genetic qualities." Juugo stated.

"There is a paper we found in his office. Karin's name is on it. I bet he's- Ow!" Suigetsu said but stopped wincing in pain.

"What is your problem Karin?!" he asked angrily.

"Don't.. talk about That!" she said stuttering from embarrassment.

Sakura could almost feel her heart clenched at that. There were news going around about Sasuke Uchiha having his own heir one day but now that it was soon approaching she didn't know how to feel about it. She knew she shouldn't since her whole marriage was based off of that and knew it was coming but she would be lying if she said it didn't hurt. It would be a absolute lie if she said she didn't love Sasuke anymore and moved on. She would always love him and had to be prepared to spend the rest of her life without him. The day will come when he has his own family and she has hers and it wouldn't be intertwined with each other like little Sakura had imagined it would. With those heavy thoughts weighing on her mind she silently walked away from the door heading back to her room no longer interested in what they were planning to say about her.

Walking along the halls to her bedroom she approached the Hokage's office. Seeing Aito exit the room she wanted to ask about Hanabi's situation worried about her. "Hey Aito, do you know what they plan on doing about Hanabi?" she asked.

His eyes scanned her body looking at the white stuff on her. "This is just one of my abilities. I had to use it to deal with some patients." she half lied.

"Lord Uchiha decided to deal with it in the morning. Apparently he got a death threat by someone from the Moon." he replied.

"The moon?" Sakura sounded unconvinced. "It sounds unbelievable but it can't be since the Moon was recently appearing bigger as though its coming towards Earth."

Sakura didn't answer as she was trying to recall the observations Kakashi and her made earlier. "Anyway.... I got duties. Have a good night Miss Sakura." he said politely.

"Yess.. you too Aito." she almost dragged out the words because of her mind still resting on the events happening.

'Does Hanabi's kidnapping has anything to do with what's going on?' she thought.

The doors opened once again revealing, to Sakura's surprise, Sasuke. He closed the door bringing his attention on her. Without speaking he raised an eyebrow at her in questioning obviously curious as to know why she was standing right outside his office and why there was white sticky substance on her body. He looked like he hasn't slept in days with dark circles under his eyes to prove it and hair ruffled from lack of brushing. Sakura didn't answer and kept her gaze low about to walk off.

"Sakura." his voice stopped her movement and she stood there backing him waiting for him to continue.

"I want you and Kakashi in my office tomorrow. You will be partners in rescuing Hanabi." he said it in more of a command than request.

"Why can't you just get your teammates or Anbus to go after her?" she asked.

Don't get it wrong, she would gladly accept the offer to rescue Hanabi but Sasuke had other talented people in his system. It was honestly suspicious to pick her since Sakura's job here is just a doctor.

"The person that attacked Juugo and Suigetsu wasn't ordinary. It would be rather easy to defeat Suigetsu but Juugo was using his perfect sage mode and they were still able to take him down. You however helped him with a fast recovery. I trust that Kakashi would be able to handle it with his skills and if he falls in any serious conditions you're healing capabilities will take care of it." he replied keeping his professional posture.

"And what if I die in the hands of this person?" she questioned turning around to face him. Sasuke's eyes stared intensely into hers at the degrading words about herself.

"Inhuman strength, S-class one hundred healing seal jutsu, perfect chakrah control, master of genjutsu, high intelligence and analytical skills, best medical ninja and strongest kunoichi? You'll be fine." Sakura saw a hint of smugness in his tone and a small smirk across his thin lips studying her face.

Did he acknowledge her? It wasn't exactly what she always imagined but could you expect more from Sasuke Uchiha?

A blush crept unto her face before clearing her throat and turning her back away so he doesn't see it,"Its not like you would give me a choice anyway."

"Hn" was all he said so Sakura continued her path down the hall to her bedroom ignoring the eyes that she felt almost bore though her back. She took a bath to wash off the sticky slime and changed into a short silk night dress. (She looks like the picture above) She jumped into bed and called it a night. 'Tomorrow's going to be a long day.' those were her final thoughts after closing her eyes and drifting off to sleep.

She was on a train ride to somewhere she isn't sure of. It was extremely dark out and even though there were only a few people on the silence made every sound of the engine auditory to the human ear. Looking out the window she saw Naruto and all her past friends standing against the sidewalk talking with each other. Trying to call out for him her voice went mute and she panicked.  The tracks craved sending the train in a small dark alley way. Meeting half way through the alley the train disappeared sending Sakura out gliding gracefully on her feet. She finally toke noticed of her outfit. She wore her white strapped-long dress that she usually wore visiting the orphanage. It was her mother's before gifted to her. Normally she would plait her hair all the way down but it was open flowing out. A long black robe covered the white and pink colors all the way over her head with a hoodie making only her nose and mouth somewhat visible along with her long inch black heels. Every fiber in her body wanted to turn back and run towards her friends but for some reason she kept walking through the lonely street. She saw the end of the dark alley coming up with bright lights as she kept moving to it. There were four black silhouettes standing, two on each end. From the looks of their body figures it seemed like three males and one female. She cling to her robe pulling it tightly around her body making sure her odd hair doesn't peeped out and used Katsuyu's slug slime to mask her chakrah from any professional sensory ninja while approaching them. Successfully walking nearly past them she relaxed. Heavy footsteps followed her causing her body to tense up again before sprinting off refusing to look back. The figure started running after her sending a kunai straight at her. Sakura sensed it and throw smoke bombs she kept in her bra for emergencies. The person seemed to be the second tallest in the group and the most skilled. The poisonous gas did nothing to him and doing so made her hair now visible. She ran off in her own ninja speed but the guy was way too fast for a normal ninja. He was inches apart from her about to grab her wrist- Sakura jerked up from the bed with her heart beating rapidly.

'Another nightmare.' she thought.

Placing her hand on her chest to calm down she plopped back down on the bed. The nightmares were normal to her since the war but the fact that the man she feared and caused her to have them was now in the same building did not help. The sky outside her window lit up a little showing dawn was soon coming. Getting up she packed her necessities for the day. Its been a while since she had a real mission. She didn't want to use her usual time of getting ready for the day since she was unprepared for a mission and didn't want to run late.

What her outfits looks like for her mission in the next chapter. She still wears her Haruno necklace and Hyuga chain. Her hair length is really long like this picture below.

Along with this red jacket with her Haruno clan symbol on the back. I would like to imagine this is what her face looks like because she looks beautiful and mature but you can choose which one you want in your imagination.

People may ask why I'm writing such a tragic story? Well probably to satisfy my half fucked up mind and I'm just one of those people that wants to see the world burn :)
