Chapter 10: Teams

"I AM HERE!"

Oh my god  Uncle Toshinori you're so fricken embarrassing.

"TEACHING YOUR CLASS!"

No duh.

"This year UA is putting all first years into hero teams of two or three, so you can learn not to just rely on your own quirks," All Might explains. "Based on your exam scores, the top eight students will become Team Leaders. They can choose who's on their team. This decision will be final until the end of the year, so choose wisely!"

Aizawa stands up, holding a list.

"The team leaders are as follows;

1. Komori Tora

2. Mina Ashido

3. Ejiro Kirishima

4. Mezou Shoji

5. Momo Yaoyorozu

6. Mashirao Ojiro

7. Izuku Midoriya

8. Denki Kaminari

"Keep in mind you're choosing people you work well with, not your friends," he says. "You have five minutes. Choose wisely."

Jiro, Kaminari, Kirishima, and Shoto all walk over or turn to me.

"Congrats babe!" Kirishima said. "Highest in the class. That's pretty impressive."

"Yeah but it means we can't be on her team," Kaminari points out. "I'm surprised I'm a leader."

I place a hand on both of their shoulders.

"Not to be harsh or anything, but I don't think our quirks mix very well," I say. "Kaminari, you're shocking is effective but it messes with my ice. Kirishima, I love you, but our quirks just don't work in general."

They agree and go of to find their teams. I turn to Jiro and Shoto.

"Shoto, I think it's obvious why we work well together," I say.

He nods in agreement.

"Jiro, I think I know a way to mix your sound amplification and my second quirk."

She thinks about it.

"Maybe," she says. "Yeah, I think we can."

"So," I say to both of them. "Do you guys want to be on my team?"

They smile.

"We thought you'd never ask," Jiro said.

"Alright everyone," Aizawa says. "Similarly to your hero names, you'll decide your team names the same way. Come up when you're ready."

Everyone turns to talk with their team. I turn to Shoto and Jiro.

"Any ideas?" I ask.

"Hmm....it should be something that ties into our quirks," Jiro says. "Since our quirks are connected so well."

Shoto smiles.

"What about Frozen Beats?" He asks.

"I like it," I say.

"Same," Jiro agrees.

 I smile.

This is gonna be awesome!"
