One year later
Luna quietly shut the door to the twins room after setting them down for their nap. She sighed and walked down the stairs towards the kitchen and washed her hands.
"Mommy? Can i go play with Reese? His mom said i could come over and she invited you too!" Ashton grinned up at Luna.
"Yes baby but the twins are sleeping so can you tell Reese that we'll come in an hour?" Luna offered.
Ashton nodded and ran outside, leaving the door open. He shouted at Reese next door about what his mom had told him and came back inside.
Ashton pulled at his moms shirt and pointed to the couch. The two walked over to the couch and Ashton picked out a cartoon and they began watching it.
Luna;
I watched the cute little cartoon that Ashton picked out and played with his hair while he laid on my chest.
After two episodes of the cartoons, i heard the babies start to scream and cry. I got up and went to go visit them.
I went to Josh's crib first and picked him up, and put a pacifier in his mouth, making him immediately stop crying. I set him down and went to Dominic's crib and did the same thing.
I heard Ashton running up the stairs as i set Dom down. He ran into the room and whispered if we could leave and i nodded.
He helped me get the twins ready and put them in the stroller. After getting their diaper bag, we walked out of the house.
Reese was already in his front yard so when he saw us coming he was ecstatic. Ashton ran over to Reese and i walked inside.
Once i knocked on the door, it was immediately opened by Reese's mom, Mary. I was grateful Ashton had found a friend after what had happened. I was also grateful for Mary, she was always willing to help with the twins and she was a great friend to have.
Mary and i made small talk about our lives and the bachelor.
Soon, it was dark out and it was time to go home.
"Come on Ashton."
"But mommy, we just started playing superhero."
"Maybe Reese can come over later in the week and you guys can finish your game."
Ashton smiled and got up, saying bye and walking over to where the twins were in their stroller.
"Thank you so much for having us." I smiled and gave Mary a hug.
"It's no problem, you guys are welcome anytime." She smiled back and waved at Ashton and the twins who were fast asleep.
Mary walked us out the door and we said our goodbyes and walked back home.
Once we stepped inside the house, i kicked off my shoes and sighed. Ashton looked up at me and kicked off his shoes as well.
"What's wrong mom?"
"I'm just tired."
Ashton nodded and helped me put the twins to sleep. After doing so we walked down the stairs and towards the kitchen. We had already eaten and Reese's so i was glad i didn't have to cook.
