chapter 8

Jade's POV

We waited a long time, and Rocket still didn't come back. I was getting worried, but he's a string raccoon, he's going to come back, right?

Groot took out Drax from a yellow liquid, and Groot stabbed Drax on his chest, making some liquid come out. Groot took out his long sharp finger and more liquid came out of Drax.

I looked behind me and saw a ship, already broken. When they opened the door, it was Rocket. I wanted to run up to him and hug him, but no.

"Idiot, they're all idiots. Quill just got himself captured." Rocket said, and then looked at Drax, "None of this would've happened if you hadn't tried to take on an frickin' army!"

"You're right. I was a fool. All that anger. All that rage. It just covered my loss." Drax said and shamefully looked at the ground.

Rocket dumbly stared at Drax for a few seconds, "Aww, boo-hoo. My wife and child are dead." Rocked mocked Drax.

Groot gasps at Rocket's mockery, "ROCKET!" i yelled at him with anger.

"I don't care if it's mean. Everybody's got dead people! But it makes no excuse to letting everyone else around get killed along the way!" Rocket yelled.

I looked at him, first with anger, then with sadness. What he just said, made me remember some stuff that i wish i never saw.

"Come on Groot and Jade. Ronan has the stone. The only chance we got is to get to the other side of the universe, as fast as we can, and maybe, just MAYBE, we'll be able to live full lives, before that wackjob gets there." Rocket said.

Groot got up and looked at rocket, "I am Groot!"

"Save them? how?" Rocket asked.

"I am Groot" Groot said with an 'i don't know' face.

"I know they're the only friends we ever got, except Jade, but there's an army of ravages around them, and there only three of us." Rocket said.

"Four" Drax corrected him.

Rocket got angry and turned around and kicked grass, "You're. Making. Me. Beat. Up. Grass." Rocket said through clenched trends and kicked the grass over and over again.
