chapter 13

Jade's POV

We crashed and all of us were laying down. I sat up, and there was flames here and there, and there were Groot's sticks everywhere. I looked at Rocket and he was holding a stick.

I got up and walked towards Rocket and grabbed his shoulder. "I called him idiot." Rocket whispered.

I looked around and saw people around us. We looked behind us, and saw. Ronan.

I heard Rocket growl and he stood up, "You killed Groot." Rocket yelled and ran up to Ronan.

"Rocket! No!" I yelled but Ronan hit Rocket and sent him flying away.

"Citizens of Xandar, behold your guardians of the galaxy! What fruit have they wrought?" Ronan said, "only that my father, and his father shall finally know vengeance. People of Xandar, the time has come to rejoice and renounce your poultry. Your salvation is at hands!" Ronan hovered his hammer above his head but Quil got up and started dancing like a drunk person.

"Ooh, child, things are gonna get easier. Ooh child, things will get brighter. You listen to these words. Ooh child, things are gonna get easier. Ooh child things'll get brighter." Quil started singing to the music, "Then bring it down hard! Someday..."

"What are you doing?" Ronan asked while looking at Quil with a confused face.

"Dance-off, bro. Me and you." Quil responded and took out his hand for Gamora, "Gamora." But she shook her head, "Subtle, taking it back."

"What are you doing?" Ronan asked again.

"I'm distracting you, you big turd blossom!" Quil responded.

I looked next to Ronan and.saw Drax holding the Haydra-Inforcer. Rocket connected two wires and the Haydra-Inforcer shot Ronan's hammer.

We all saw the stone and Quil jumped for it. And Quil got it. Purple mist surrounded Quil. We knew Quil was struggling to control the Infinity stone because he was screaming.

"Peter, take my hand!" We heard Gamora yell. I guess Quil did grab her hand because she started screaming.

Drax left Rocket and i, and entered the purple mist. We heard Drax yell.

I looked at Rocket and he nodded. We grabbed hands and entered the midst.

I couldn't see anything. I heard Rocket yelling, so i guess he touched somebody's hand. I felt the sting on my hand and i started yelling, until the pain leave.

Ronan looked at us with a confused face, mostly at Quil, "You're mortal! How..."

"You said it yourself, bitch. We're the Guardians of the Galaxy." Quil responded we strike Ronan.

Gamora took out the device and sealed the stone. I felt the energy fading away, and the mist cleared out.

(Time jump)

So, Yondu received the stone. But it wasn't the real orb. It was fake.

I saw Rocket sitting down on a rock  and holding the stick and Drax was leaving him. I walked up to him and i heard him sniff, but he turned away.

"I called him an idiot." He whispered.

"Don't be sad." I said, "You saved the day. Groot would've been proud of you"

He sniffed, "i guess"

"And you fixed the Haydra-Inforcer in one minute" i tried cheering him up.

"43 seconds" he corrected me and i smiled.

"Show off" i said while playfully punching him.

"Umm.. jade. Can you... pet my tail?" He asked. I started at him in disbelief, "i like when you pet it"

"Sure Rocket" i grabbed his tail and pet it. It was so soft, and i thought i would never get to feel it again. "Wait Groot's a plant, so how 'bout you plant the stick?" Rocket looked at me, And smiled.

(Time jump)

We were with Rhomann Dey. He gave us a new Milano! Yes! But there was somethings he needed to tell us.

"Your criminal records have also been expunged. However, I have to warn you against breaking any laws in the future." Rhomann Dey said.

"Question. What if I see something that I wanna take and it belongs to someone else?" Rocket asked while holding a pot with dirt and a stick of Groot.

"Then you will be arrested." Rhomann responded.

"But what if I want it more than the person who has it?" Rocket asked.

"Still illegal." Rhomann responded.

"That doesn't follow. No, I want it more, sir. Do you understand me?" Rocket said, But i couldn't held in my laugh any longer, "What are you laughing at?" I grabbed Rocket's shoulder and started walking towards the new Milano, "What? I can't have a discussion with this gentleman?"

"Come on rocket, you need to give water to Groot" i said while still laughing. I looked at him and he was looking at me while smirking. A smirk I've never seen, "um.. Rocket?" I started to feel uncomfortable.

"Yeah?" He responded without wiping the smirk away.

"Why are you smirking?" I asked while sitting down.

"I'll tell you after i give water to Groot." Rocket said while giving water to the stick.

When he was done, he walked up to me and leaned towards me. I knew what he was going to do, i was leaving forward until i felt someone starting at me.

"Wait rocket" i told him.

"Fuck!" Rocket said. I walked towards the door and opened it. Down fell three people. "What are you guys doing!?"

"Hey jade and rocket" Quil said like nothing was happening.

"You guys were stalking!?" I felt my cheeks burning.

"We were not stalking, we were listening" Gamora responded.

"It's the same damn thing!" Rocket yelled.

"Anyways, are you guys together?" Quil asked.

I looked at rocket and he smiled at me, "i guess" i responded.

"No guesses. Yes we are" Rocket said.

"Well, i need to check something" Quil said and left. We all departed and i went to a room i found. I layed down and started hearing music. Awesome music.

I got up and started dancing, it was so much fun. I usually don't dance, cause i never had time.

"You're a great dancer." I looked behind me and saw Rocket. I jumped and started blushing.

"Thank you" i responded. I sat down on my bed and rocket sat next to me.

"You wanna do what we were going to do before we were interrupted?" Rocket asked.

"And what were we gonna do?" I asked.

"I don't know. Kiss, caress, smooch, canoodle, fool around." He responded.

He smirked and i smirked back and, let's just say, it was the best make out in my entire life.
