Alex and Raf where walking though the school hand in hand with Hope walking next to her sister.
"hey you okay?" Alex noticed his eyes flashing gold and gave his had a slight squeeze. She really didn't want to leave him she she had to go and find Landon. He was just as much her brother as he was Raf's.
"my mind still won't settle down. Look I'm sorry, but I can't join the fight" Alex rolls her eyes, he wasn't going to come anyway. No matter how much he protested it.
"Don't worry, we're not going alone. Our squad answered the bat signal" Hope answered as the three of them came to a stop in the hallway. Alex was surprised to see Jed there but also thankful that he was coming, they could use someone who knew how to fight other than themselves.
"she's coming" Alex and Hope both rolled their eyes at the Saltzman twins as they sent each other a glare.
"we need all the help we can get, so please put your twin war on pause" Hope huffed in annoyance . Was this how annoyed everyone else felt when her and Alex had arguments?
"why is he going?" Raf glared at Jed then glancing back at Alex
"look, you're the alpha. If Landon's your pack, that makes him ours" Jed glared at Raf.
"where's MG at?" Kaleb spoke before anyone the group broke out in an argument. Alex looked over at Kaleb and sent him a small smile. Thanking him for changing the topic.
"he's on his way. Let's load up while we wait for him. Come on" Hope gestured for everyone to follow her.
"I love you" Raf gave Alex a quick kiss on the lip
"I love you too" She smiled up at him before following the group outside.

In front of the group was a load of heavily armed soldiers. Fucking wonderful, Alex thought to herself.
"oh sorry we were about to knock"
"Who the hell are you" Alex crossed her arms looking at the man in front of them
"Name's Burr. Triad Industries"
"propellere" Hope tried but when nothing happen everyone frowned. What the hell?
"I got this" Kable spoke. But as he reached the sunlight his arm started to burn.
Alex's eyes shifted to her blue gold colour, the soldiers stood behind Burr raised their weapons but Hope put an arm across Alex's front whispering a don't.
"what you don't got is magic." Burr shifted slightly "which is why your daylight ring won't work. And what we have are stakes, wolfsbane and other thing. So, I think you should invite us inside" Alex sent them all a deadly glare, but she didn't want to put others in danger so she reluctantly showed them all inside.
