Chapter 1

Okay before the story begins a short announcement: I am not from the USA. I'm doing my best, mostly googling a few words, but I'm not really into grammar.

You got a job at a jewelry store. No special job, you just do the little things that need to be done. Every day you go here after school to make some money, because you live alone with your dad and he doesn't make much money. He fell into a deep depression back then, your mother was a Gem, and died so you could live in contrast.

Your boss and her assistant are annoying. "(Y/N), we'll leave tomorrow at 6 a.m.!" Says your boss and pushes up her glasses. You look at her confused: "Going? Where to? I have to go to school tomorrow!" Your boss smiles impishly and pushes her assistant to tell you the plan. "You should come with us to Beach City. There are gems with physical forms. Mrs Green wants to remove the gems and sell them. She'll give us some of the money, run the store and live in a mansion!" Gems with physical forms!? You have a gem. You're glad they don't know about it. You can't imagine that they actually want to sell the gems! And that there are more gems out there like your mother... On this earth? No, you can't let her hurt them. You look at your boss incredibly. She looks seriously: "We need you! You have to come with us or else i'll fire you and you can watch how you get money!" You think about how disappointed your father is in you. How unhappy he is. You've never really seen him happy. He couldn't get over the fact that your mother no longer exists. You wanted to make him happy. You'd do anything for it! And you also can't lose your job. You nod and listen to what Mrs Green has to say. If you were to harm the gems, of course you wouldn't go along with it. Just because you support them doesn't make it better, but you have to!
"Okay, it's simple. You just have to gain their trust, make friends with them. You have one week." Is that all? You agree, as long as you're not supposed to hurt them...

᪥ 𝙽𝚎𝚡𝚝 𝙳𝚊𝚢 - 𝙱𝚎𝚊𝚌𝚑 𝙲𝚒𝚝𝚢 ᪥

The weather is great. The sun is shining, it is warm and there are no clouds in the sky. Steven is on the beach with his Gem friends, Amethyst, Garnet, Pearl, Bismuth, Lapis and Peridot, and playing volleyball. Peridot is angry: "Unfair! You guys are more! It's obvious we've lost the round!" Amethyst laughs: "Pah, so what?" Steven interrupts the argument: "Hey, get down! It's not that bad!" Peridot: "It's not that bad??!" And stomps on the floor. Steven: "Okay I have an idea-" Steven gets interrupted. "STEEEVEEEN" It was Spinel. She pushes Steven into a hug. "Woah! Eh, hi Spinel. Long time no see." Spinel grins: "Right, that's why I came to see you. What are you playing?May I play with you?" Steven turns to the others who nod their agreement. Peridot: "Join our team, we eh- always win. Even though we are less!" Amethyst: "LIES!"
After playing a few rounds of volleyball, they decided to take a short break. They sit down at a table and eat donuts that Amethyst and Pearl got.

You arrive, so this is Beach City? You've never been here before. It's a long way from home, too. Hopefully your dad won't notice you skipping school for a week. Of course he won't notice. When has he ever taken an interest in you? You got money for the hotel you just got a room for. You're outside now, walking towards the beach. You've seen a lot of gems walk by so far. You stop when you see this one clique of gems. After thinking for a moment, you decide to make friends with them. Is that really right? No, it wasn't. Of course it wasn't. But you want to go through with it now. Or you'll lose your job. You've been staring at them for a long time... You especially liked a pink gem. Her gem was a upside down heart, the hair magenta colored, tied in two pigtails. You think she's pretty, something special. Unlike the other gems. Suddenly she notices you. You get nervous and look away. Then you remember the plan again... Oh, yeah. You can still feel the pink Gem's gaze on you.
