Chapter 5

You wake up with a headache in a unknown room to you. You were not alone. Spinel and the Crystal Gems are here too. You must've had too much to drink last night, because you can't remember anything. The last thing you remember is having a good time. Pearl, Amethyst and Garnet have already woken up. Spinel, Steven, Peridot and Lapis are still asleep. Amethyst: "Good morning. You couldn't control yourself last night, could you?" You look at her confused. "What do you mean?" Amethyst: "Never mind!" You look at her curiously and ask, "Come on, say it!" Amethyst: "Come on, don't say you don't remember!", "No! I don't remember anything..." Amethyst laughs her ass off. "Oh, man, I'm glad I didn't drink as much as you, Spinel, Steven, Peridot and Lapis! Haha!" Pearl says to her, "Amethyst, can you please stop?" Amethyst: "Why? (Y/N) should know or not?" Pearl shakes her head. With a confused look, you're still looking at Amethyst. But she can't take it seriously. "Well, you made out with Spinel." She whispers to you and waggles her eyebrows. You blush at the thought. What happened yesterday? Who saw it all? Does Spinel remember? Oh, my... You hope she doesn't remember. It wasn't planned that way. "Sorry, can you repeat that?" You ask. "Well, you heard me. Better keep it to yourself." Still in shock, you just nod. Spinel wakes up. "Good morning!! Eh... What happened yesterday? Oh my gosh someone poisoned me! I can't remember anything. How did I get here?!", "Oh, no, Spinel, it's all right! It's normal if you drink too much alcohol." Spinel looks at you confused, and you explain everything to her. But you leave out the part where you supposedly made out with her."Crazy..." Said the pink gem. After everyone woke up, you all had pancakes for breakfast. Which, by the way, nowhere tastes better than by Steven's. Yeah, it turns out you all slept at Steven's. Oh, God, you're still so uncomfortable with all this. After breakfast, you discover a photo book. Curiously, you flip through the pages and realize that most of the photos show a gem that was probably Steven's mother. "Is this your mother?" You ask Steven who's coming to see you. "Yes..." You turn the pages a little bit further and suddenly you see a photo of Steven's mother with your mother in it! "That's my mum!" You shout. "I've only ever seen one photo of her, and Dad probably thrown the others away." Steven looks at the photo. "Are you sure?" You nod your head. Pearl sees it and says, "What? You've gotta be kidding me." You and Steven look at Pearl questioning. "Well, I thought she was still alive. You know, she was pretty good friends with Pink Diamond, but after Pink wanted to live as Rosequarz, they got in a fight and split. But before that, they were practically inseparable." Steven doesn't seem to have heard about this either, so he's looking at the photo again. "But they look so happy in the picture." Pearl: "Well, that was before she announced she was gonna stay that way." You shake your head, "I believed in a lie for years." Steven: "Why? What were you thinking?", "My father told me they never fought. My mother wanted to be alone and see something new and then she met my father." You talk about it a bit. Eventually you learn about your mother's past, because your father didn't tell you much, and probably not even the truth. Again, you don't notice Spinel getting jealous: "All the time just pink here pink there I'm sick of it. Just because of her old friend and the tragic story, who cares?" Lapis shrugs. "I don't know what to say.", "Look, (Y/N) is not interested in me. Steven's better than me. I knew it.", "Okay?" Spinel's leaving the house. When you have finished the conversation, you notice that Spinel is nowhere to be seen. "Where's Spinel?" You ask confused. Lapis: "She's out.","Oh, no... And you didn't stop her?" Lapis looks at you annoyed,"Should I?" Angry at that answer, you decide to go out and look for her. Spinel hasn't gone far, she's sitting by the sea. You sit with her. "Spinel..." Spinel says:"What?", "Are you okay? Did I do something wrong?" Actually, you guess why she left. "No, but I did something wrong." "Why you?" "I probably always do something wrong that everybody leaves me alone.","No, that's not true! Spinel I understand your feelings, okay? I just wanted to learn more about my mom. I didn't meant to shut you out..." , "Oh... Okay. Sorry, I always look at everything negatively." She sighs. For a moment there is silence until you break it with an idea. "Would you mind if we spent the rest of the day alone? Just you and me?" A big smile appears on the pink gems face. "Are you kidding me? I'd love to!" You grin. "Awesome!"
