I know you've never loved the crinkles by your eyes when you smile
You've never loved your stomach or your thighs
The dimples in your back at the bottom of your spine
But I'll love them endlessly
Today,you will be going out to the beach with your boyfriend Liam,Louis and Eleanor.You were not really happy with the idea of spending a day at the "beach" but since you get to spend some time with your boyfriend and your closest friends like Louis and El,you were happy.
You have always been insecure about your weight and your body.No matter how many times have Liam told you that you were Beautiful,you couldn't help stop thinking about your insecurities.The day before,you went out shopping for a swimsuit.You won't feel comfortable in a bikini,the last thing you want was to walk around the beach showing everyone your jiggly thighs and a-somewhat-protruding stomach.You went for a black coloured one piece with a sweetheart neckline,adorned with white beads around the neckline.It was beautiful and did the perfect job of covering whatever a bikini wouldn't have been able on your body.
You packed your stuff and got into the car with Liam.
"Ready to go babe?To have an amazing day at the beach?"He asked with excitement in his eyes.
"Yes!I am!Let's goooo!We have to pick up Mr Prankster and El."He chuckled when he heard the nickname you have given Louis.
"Hey guys!"Louis screamed with joy.
"My god Tommo.You want us to go deaf?"Liam said with a stern face while we girls laughed.
"Hey Y/N.We're seeing each other after a long time."
"Surely.I missed you baba girl.Can't wait to spend the day with you El." You said, giving her a hug.
"Excuse me girls,but we're present here." Louis said, pretending to be serious and crossing his hands over his chest.
"Thank you for reminding us Louis."El said and we all had a good laugh.
"We've reached!!Finally!" You exclaimed as you jumped out of the car.
"I AM AT THE BEACH!" Louis screamed out of nowhere.
You saw that two small children were laughing on seeing how childish Louis was being.Eleanor and Liam saw were you were staring at and she joined you too.Louis got embarrassed but soon joined you all.
You and El find the perfect spot on the beach.You set up your towel and El sets up the other things.Liam and Louis come to you running.
"I guess you girls are gonna tan here for a while so for the time being,we are going to splash and play in the water!"Liam says with excitement sparkling in his eyes.
El laid down beside you and looked absolutely stunning with her bikini on.She had put her headphones on and closed her eyes, relaxing.Even though you felt awaked and insecure with your bikini on,you tried to keep that thought away.You cannot let that ruin this beautiful day.
You admired the surroundings.The sparkling blue waves,the glimmering golden sun,the palm trees,the cool sea breeze,little children playing around with beachballs and frisbees and making sandcastles.You have missed these sights for a while.You got up and walked around for a while, enjoying the lovely sights.You came across a shell with a long and narrow slit and deep brown and blue hues.When you put it on your ears,you were able to hear the sea waves.It was soothing and calming.
You took it with you to the place where El was.You saw that boys had come back after having fun in the water.
"Where were you babe?"Liam asked.
"Oh I was admiring the surroundings.Look what I've found!"You said, handing out the shell to them.
Liam put it on his ears."Wow I can hear the waves."
"Can I hear it too Liam?"
"Sure El.Here you go."
Everyone took their chance of listening to that shell.
You and El were talking about some girl stuff and clicking pictures when you noticed that he and Louis were checking out a group of girls just in front of them.You look towards to where they were staring at.You saw a tall girl with fake tan and ice blonde hair.She had a flat tummy and an absolutely stunning body.You looked at yourself,or rather,your tummy.It was protruding out.Your thighs were like elephant legs.You squeezed your thighs and it turned into a roll.Your insecurity showed up.
You couldn't help but let a few years fall freely.You wiped them immediately because you didn't want to be caught crying by them.You got up from your place and started walking away from El and the boys,in the opposite direction.
What if Liam doesn't really like you?
What if Liam hates you for your insecurity and just pretend to love you?
What if Liam has never really loved you?
You thought to yourself.You were very well aware of the fact that you cannot be like Danielle but you tried your best but nothing really seemed to work.You were so lost in your thoughts amidst the jolly crowd that you didn't notice Liam, running after you.
"Where are you going Y/N?I have been calling you for so long."
"It's okay Liam.Nevermind."
"I know something is up Y/N.You know you can tell me about it."
"You know how I am always insecure about my body and weight Liam,right?"
"Ye..ah."He stuttered while speaking because he knew what was coming on his way.
"I saw you and Louis checking out that girl there and I couldn't help but feel insecure about my body and weight.I just feel like I am not the perfect one for you.I know I can never be like Danielle but I have tried my best to be myself and nothing seems to work.You deserve so much better Liam." You couldn't help but let go a few drops of tears.
Liam took your hand in his and said.
"No love no.It isn't what you're thinking.I love you too much to let you go.Come with me,let me show you."
You were confused.Liam took you to the place where you all were sitting and pointed towards to that same girl.
"Look at her properly."Liam said pointing towards the girl.
You looked at her and couldn't help but laugh.It was not the girl that they were checking out.It was her surfboard.It was a freaking One Direction surfboard and had the boys' faces on it.
Liam looked over to you and said "You really think I am gonna check out girls inspite of having a beautiful girlfriend?"
"No but you know how insecure I am about my weight and my body and the fans are alw-"
"Sushh!"
He said putting his fingers on your lips.He cupped your cheeks and brought your face closer to his.
"No matter what the fans say,no matter how insecure you are of your body,I will always you.For being who you are.For being yourself.I know you have never loved the crinkles by your eyes when you smile and your stomach or your thighs or the dimples on your back or the bottom on your spine.Trust me,I love them endlessly.You are perfect to me.If you ever feel like this again,come and talk to me about it.I will help you get through it.We'll go though this together.Not just you alone.I love you."
Bringing our faces closer to each other,he kissed me.
"I love you too.Thank you so much Liam.I love you."
Saying we held each others hands,fingers interwined and started walking in the beautiful beach.Liam has made your day infinity+1 times more better than it should be.
