"Fuck.."
《Peter》
I had no idea what to do. The seconds seemed to go by very slow and all I wanted to do was jump off the building. My hands started to sweat and I could feel my legs shake. Miss. Romanoff got out her gun and pointed the barrel at my head. "How do you know about Peter?" Her voice was low and threatening, and I got really scared of it. I held up my hands in the air in defense, hoping that they would buy my awful lies."How I know about Peter? Oh- uhm, it's uhm.." I was so scared that I couldn't even come up with a terrible lie. I was just standing there, looking like an idiot. As I tried to figure out what to do, my mouth said the stupidest thing it could've said. "Oh, you know, I've been watching him for a while now." When I said that, there was no turning back. Tony opened his face plate to reveal a murderous look. "You've been stalking Peter?!" He practically yelled in my face.
I held up my hands even more, not knowing what else to do. "I-I wouldn't say stalking... I was just, keeping an eye on him. To make sure he was safe." God Peter, just shoot yourself already. At this point, all four of them came dangerously close to me. There were only a few feet between me and their deathly weapons, which stood ready to blow my face off.
"If you were making sure he was safe, where were you when he fought the Green Goblin on his own?" This time it was Mr. Rogers who came a few steps closer to me while talking. "I was out of town, a family member was in the hospital." I was slowly backing away to the edge of the building in case I needed to get away before they'd kill me. I grabbed the stone wall underneath my hands and hoped I could jump off fast enough.
"If you were out of town, how did you know he was attacked?" I gulped down a bit of nervous spit. It seemed like I had lost the ability to speak and think. The only thing I could do was choose: fight, freeze or flight. Luckily my brain was wise enough to choose flight, since the other two definitely would've killed me. I jumped off the building and shot out a web to catch the one next to it. I swung through the city, trying to dodge all of the bullets, arrows and energy beams that were shot at me.
I heard Tony say something in his helmet, and due to my enhanced hearing I could catch what he said. "Friday, alert Peter. Tell him he has to stay in his room." I cursed something under my breath again and swung faster, even though it hurt my head and back. "Peter is currently not available, sir." I sighed deeply and swung into an alley, hoping to get rid of the armed men and woman who are trying to kill me. Unfortunately, it didn't work; they followed me all the way, even when I took sharp turns.
"Come on Friday, whose side are you on?" I whispered to myself, making sure the people following me couldn't hear it. At some point, the long way of alleys stopped. Shit, I thought, I'm trapped. I knew I had to fight my way out of this small alley, so I webbed up my leg to make some kind of protection for my broken bone. Because the pills I took stopped working, the pain in my head, leg and back got a lot worse. My body was still a bit sore after the electrocution, so this battle would hurt.
A lot.
I turned around to face the four Avengers, all of them with their weapons raised. Captain America tooka few steps in my direction, taking every movement very slowly like I could attack at any point. "This doesn't have to end up in a fight." He said. I scoffed and motioned for his teammates. "If you don't want to fight, why are you all threatening me with those things pointed at my face?" I placed my arms over one another, waiting for an answer.
"Because if you touch our family, we'll kill you." Black Widow said, also taking a few steps towards me. Her bracelets with electricity were pointed in my face, and it gave me a little panic attack. Since the fight with Harry, I tried to avoid everything that could possibly electrocute me since the pain I felt back then was the worst I had ever experienced. And now a bracelet which was designed to give people that pain was pointed directly at me, ready for use.
I backed away a few steps until my back hit the wall. "I never touched Peter. And I never will. He is a good kid, wouldn't hurt a fly. So why would I hurt him?" It was really weird to talk about myself like this. Only telling the good stuff, not even knowing if it's true.
"Look, we just want to talk." Captain America said, once again trying to find a way where no one gets hurt. I nodded towards his teammates. "You won't get a single word out of me until you lower your weapons." Iron Man only raised his gaunlet, making sure i was able to hear the energy spike up. "Then you can wait a long time." He said, his voice getting lower and angrier with the second.
He shot his energy beam, but I ducked out of the way just in time. I climbed up the wall, trying to use my left leg as least as possible. Hawkeye shot an arrow. My spidersense warned me before it could strike me, so I caught it midair. I snapped it in half and looked at it. It was poisoned with a sedative that could knock out a horse. I threw it on the ground and looked at Hawkeye, who was just about to shoot another arrow. "Trying to kidnap me, huh? You wouldn't like that if it happened to you!" I yelled, webbing myself up to the nearest building.
I shot out a web to another building, but it got snapped in half by a shield, making me fall down to the ground. I landed on a car, and it did not help with my concussion and bruised back. I grunted in pain and hid inside the nearest building. "Karen, make sure my presence can't be seen on any radar." I whispered. "This might take a few seconds Peter." She replied. I shook my head and gulped. "I don't care, just do it as fast as you can."
"Where is he?"
"I don't know, we all saw him land on that car."
"How can he sneak away so easily?"
"I don't know, but we have to make sure Peter is safe."
"Friday, where is Spider-Man?"
"My radar is not available at this point, it seems to be hacked."
"That bug is smart."
"Spiders are actually arachnids-"
"We don't have time to be all-knowing Clint!"
"Has anyone checked on Peter?"
I saw this as my cue to leave, since they were probably about to call me. I sneaked out of the building and got to the nearest alley where I had hidden my backpack under a dumpster. I grabbed the phone Tony got me out of it to see him calling me. I accepted the call and didn't have any time to say hi before they all started screaming.
"Peter, where are you? Are you in your room? Friday said you weren't available to contact. If you're not in your room, get in there now and stay there. Spider-Man has his eye caught on you and we're afraid of what he can do. We'll be there soon, stay safe. You understand?"
I wanted to say 'yes' but there wasn't any sound coming out of my throat. There were only a few heaving breaths, but no real words came out. "Peter? Are you okay?" They sounded even more worried than before. I couldn't proceed to make any sound, so I started panicking. Why can't I talk? The raw heaves of breaths became louder. After I realized I was scaring the people on the other end of the phone, I hung up.
Worst. Decision. Ever.
I heard footsteps coming this way. "Tony, are you sure he's here?"
"I tracked his phone, he has to be here."I gulped once again and webbed my stuff against the wall, knowing they would only slow my down if I took them with me. I ran and ran, ignoring the pain in my entire body (mostly my leg). I climbed into a dumpster, not knowing what else to do. At least I had some time to catch my breath.
What the fuck have I done?!
This story is so chaotic lmao
I got nothing else to say so...
Bye!
