*Okay so in order for this to not be difficult, I'm gonna just spell most of the Greek things how they sound, bc if I just translate it into English it doesn't sound as epic, but not everyone knows Greek or wants to take the time to use a translator, so I'm going to just spell the names for certain things how they sound- I know it's kind of a dumb idea but hey \_(")_/*
πολεμιστής = pol-e-mistis (Warrior/s)
(Peter POV)
"Then why aren't we going after him?!" I ask incredulously. "Because they're shorting out everything. Blocking all other exits. This alarm only comes on in an extreme emergency, which means we bar these doors shut, to try and buy us time to get anyone particularly vulnerable- like you and Y/N- out another way." Clint says. "I am NOT vulnerable." I argue. "Maybe not, but we still don't want you to die." Natasha sasses. We all stay on the opposite end of the room, away from the doors. The lights are flickering like crazy. Then suddenly, everything stops. The lights go out, the alarm stops, everything. And it's eerily quiet. We all wait silently, praying that everything is hopefully fine. Which it wasn't. The meeting room doors then fling open abruptly, with wind blasting paper and things around everywhere. A-kind of young- man steps into the doorway. He has blonde hair, and his eyes are glowing white.
His shadow looms on the wall behind him, and his arms are held out as if he had merely used his mind to open the doors. His eyes stop glowing, and he starts to slowly walk over to where me and Y/N are standing. I step in front of her. He then speeds his pace. Before he can push me aside, I punch him in the face as hard as I can. His head jerks to the side, but other than that, it had no affect. I look at him wide eyed. He slowly turns his head back to look at me. The lights come back on, and the doors slam shut, the wind dying down. Tony steps in front of me. "Listen buddy, you need t-" but before he can finish his sentence, the man puts his two fingers to Tony's forehead, and Tony falls to the floor. Steve jumps forward, ready to fight, but the man holds both his hands up, and everything goes black.....
(Y/N POV)
Steve jumps forward to protect me and Peter, but stranger dude puts both his hands up, and everyone in the room falls to the ground like Tony did. Except me. My eyes widen, and I take a step back. "Who- who are you? Are you a Quevenyee?" I ask. The man looks around the room slowly, then back at me. "My name is Nathaniel. I am an Αγγελιοφόρος της φυλής αγγέλων." He says. "That's great dude, I don't speak Greek." I say sarcastically. "I am a messenger of the Angyellos. The tribe of strengthened human beings. Born with powers no normal human can posses." He says, walking over to the table. I bend down slowly and check Peter's pulse. "Your friend is alive." He says over his shoulder. Sure enough, Peter is still breathing. "And everyone else?"
"Alive as well. I do not come to harm anyone." He turns back towards me. "Then why are you here?" I stand. He looks me in the eye. "We need to talk. Alone.""Well, here we are." I gesture to all the unconscious Avengers around us. "How did you find me?" I ask the first question. "There was a surge of Angyellos power yesterday. A surge that hasn't happened in years. It led me here. To you. The last of the Polemistis Tribe." He says. I turn over the information in my head. I look at him blankly. "The Warrior Tribe." He explains further. I nod. "So- I'm the only one?" I hug my arms to myself. "Yes. You are the Chosen One. The last Polemistis, the one who will save us all." He says. "And who exactly are 'you all'?" I ask. "The other tribes. Every tribe has different characteristics and powers." He sits in one of the chairs at the meeting table. "How many tribes are there?" I ask. He looks away, wearing a solemn look. "There are only three left living."
"And how many were there normally?"
"Seven. Your tribe was wiped out years ago, and the other three have been destroyed over the past few months."Nathaniel explains. I walk around the room as we talk, checking on the other unconscious Avengers. "So...my parents?"
"Lost their lives. In the Battle of Purification." He answers. "Purification?" I tilt my head. How is a war pure? "The Quevenyee wanted to 'purify' the Realm. Meaning no powerful beings-superhumans- or anything abnormal could be left standing. Most of the tribes went into hiding, but not the Angyellos." Nathaniel shakes his head. I sit in a chair, across the table from him. "The Polemistis were warriors. Leaders. Defenders of all the other tribes. The Polemistis were the biggest out of all Angyellos tribes, and always kept peace between the others. Always provided for them. But the Quevenyee got ahold of the Polemistis commander- your father. They broke into their base one night. You were ten years old, and sleeping in another room at the time. Your mother, she ran to your room while your father bought as much time as he could."She called me, and gave me the order of taking you to a human orphanage.
She wiped your memory, and suppressed your powers for a period of time- which I'm assuming ended yesterday. So I brought you to the safest looking place I could find, and you know the rest." He finishes. I stay quiet. "I understand this must be- difficult, for you to process. But I was given direct orders to come to you when you attained your powers." He nods to my hands folded in front of me. "But- but I don't even know what they are? I only got tested yesterday, and all that happened was my eyes glowed." I say in confusion. Nathaniel gives a small, understanding smile. "You still have to learn, and train. These things take time. Polemistis children used to be trained from the moment they were born." He stands from his seat. "Will you help me? Is that what you're here for?" I ask. "I am here to direct you. I'm a, as humans say, 'instruction manual' of sorts. I can tell you all I know, but you have to embrace and use your power on your own." He says.I stand from my seat as well. "Can I- can I do stuff like this?" I gesture to the unconscious Avengers. "In due time." He nods. I sit in silence, pondering everything. "So, will you stay here?" I ask. "No. I have other matters with the other tribes. But I'll return soon." He says with a nod. "And what do I do until then? When exactly will you be back?" I walk around the table to stand face to face with him. "You train. Use your powers. Ready yourself. There's a much bigger fight ahead." He turns toward the door. "Is that all you're going to explain?" I ask incredulously. He looks over his shoulder. "It's all that's important right now." And then he disappears. "Wha- how?.......freaking superhuman nerd messenger." I roll my eyes. All of the Avengers slowly wake. All confused. Peter jumps up from where he was laying. "Y/N, are you okay? What happened?" He asks with wide eyes. Everyone else starts bombarding me with questions at once. "Okay, everybody shut up and sit down!" I say. The room quiets. Everyone sits around the meeting table.
I explain everything that Nathaniel said to me. "Well that helped, but it also kind of didn't." Steve says. "Yeah I know." I agree.
"Well, he's right about one thing. You do need to start training. Figuring everything out." Tony says. Everyone else nods in agreement. "Welp, it's like, five A.M. now. Might as well get started right?" I ask. "Yeah. Get a jump on the day already. I don't think anyone would make it back to sleep anyway." Natasha jokes. I turn and walk to the door, opening it. "Then we've got work to do." I say over my shoulder, and slam the door behind me.........
