Chapter 5 - Addison

"Slow down, you're gonna choke." I hear from behind me. I turn to see Dixie standing behind me. She was rubbing the sleep out of her eyes and her hair was a mess. I had left her in bed this morning, she looked to peaceful to wake up at the time. Dixie however, didn't seem to be to happy about the choice I had made choice.

"I'm just eating Dix." I told her. She mumbled something inaudible but I chose to ignore it. She sat next to me and wrapped herself around me. She had me trapped. Her arms were around my neck, her legs wrapped around my waist, and her head was buried in the crook of my neck. I laughed quietly to myself as she was already falling asleep again.

  I silently ate while scrolling through my phone. "Hey, what's happening here?" said a voice coming from behind me. I jumped at the sudden noise and Dixie fell off of me die to my sudden movements. "Ow." I hear quietly from the girl on the floor. Avani was laughing at her as if it was the funniest thing she had ever seen.

  "Oh... my... god" she said in between laughs. "Dixie are you okay?" I say quickly to her. She was rubbing her head, "What's it look like?" she said angrily. I giggled at her pout. "What are you laughing about?" she said, her bottom lip jutting out. I just laughed harder, joining Avani in her fit of laughter.

  Dixie just crossed her arms and went to get up. She stood and turned around, "You guys are mean." she said while walking away. "Hey, no, I'm sorry." I quickly say while reaching out towards her. I wrap my arms around her waist and hug her tightly. It wasn't necessary at all, if I was being completely honest, I had just been wanting to be closer to the girl.

  She turned around and hugged me back. "Mhm, I think- I think I'm gonna go now. I'll just go check to see if Charli is awake." Avani said. She then proceeded to wink at us and walk away. Dixie's cheeks flushed and I could feel my face burning now as well. However, neither of us moved from our positions.

  We were standing in the middle of the living room. She had her arms around my neck and mine rested on her waist. It was comfortable, I felt safe. Just as I did the night before when we were cuddling. Dixie had always made me feel safe, but somehow now it was different. Not only did she feel safe, she felt loved, and protected.

  She had never felt this way with Bryce. He hadn't been the worst boyfriend in all honesty. He was sweet enough, but quite boring. At the end of the relationship she had been avoiding him. She would pick fights with him over little things and would push him away. Finally he snapped, he had kissed a girl at a party while drunk.

  Addison may not have had feelings for him like that anymore, but it still hurt. She ended the relationship as soon as she found out. It made her feel like she wasn't enough. Dixie was there for her though. The first time Addison felt that odd feeling in the pit of her stomach that had been happening recently was after Bryce and her had ended, when she saw Dixie.

  Dixie had come over to comfort her seeing as this was before she had decided to distance herself from Addison for a reason unbeknownst to the shorter girl. It was when Dixie had been hugging her. She had her arms around Addison's waist and whispered sweet nothings in her ear. She kissed the top of Addison's head every once in a while and everytime her Addison's heart rate would begin to race and that feeling in her stomach would reappear.

  She figured it was nothing. Maybe she was just having cramps. But now that she's looking back at it, it hadn't been just cramps. She's not sure what it was exactly but it had to be something. She looked back up at the taller girl and smiled. She kissed Dixie's cheek, just to see what would happen.

  Dixie blushed profusely and refused to maintain eye contact with her some reason. She giggled in response. "Well goodmorning to you to. Yeah I slept well, thanks for asking, how was your sleep?" said an exasperated voice from the hallway. The two girls jumped away from each other and turned to see Charli.

  That girl had a talent at walking into places at the wrong time Addison thought to herself. "Morning Char," Addison said replacing her surprised face with a wide smile. "I'm so glad you slept well."  she said sarcastically. Dixie glared at her younger sister seemingly frustrated for some reason. Addison simply ignored it.

  Charli skipped over to them, "Goodmorning sister, I'm so glad you care about me so much so that you asked how I slept. You truly are an amazing sister." Charli said with a smirk, she was being extra witty and seemingly had plenty of energy, the weird thing was she didn't have a Dunkin' cup in her hand. Weird, I thought to myself.

  "Oh dearest sister of mine, I hope your morning is full of unfortunate events and impossible tasks." replied Dixie sporting a smirk of her own. "Well that kinda hurt." said Charli. Dixie just rolled her eyes playfully and walked away. "Well if we're done talking, I'm going back to sleep." the older D'amelio said walking back up the stairs.

  Addison had stayed silent the whole time as she watched the playful banter between the two girls. She just watched on with a smile. But she had fallen out of the trance she had been in while watching them when she saw Dixie walking away. "Love you Char." Addison heard Dixie yell down the stairs. Although the sisters fought often and could be mean when they wanted to be, they still absolutely adored one another.

  Addison made it back to the room and saw the brunette already in bed with her eyes closed. Addison layed down next to the girl. Dixie turned around and cuddled into her side. There was that feeling again. It only appeared when she was close to the girl. She grew to like it though, it made her giddy. She closed her eyes and rested her head on top of Dixie's head. She lightly kissed the top of the girls head, she swore she could feel Dixie's body slightly heat up but she realized it was probably just in her head.

I'm sorry for taking so long to update, I've been feeling a little under the weather and this school work has me fucked up. It was kind of a boring chapter but I hope y'all enjoyed the dixison fluff. Thanks for almost 500 reads by the way, wasn't expecting that.
