I hesitantly took his hand, a little scared that it would upset Blake.

"Interesting to meet you," the brother said. He gave Blake a short look and smile that for sure wasn't returned. He then looked at me again, which made me notice his eyes where brown, unlike Blakes dark blue. He then gave me a wink.

I mentally rolled my eyes. "I'm Kate"

"Kate," he said slowly, rolling my name on his tongue. "Kate and Blake ... Blake and Kate ..." He paused. "Doesn't sound good." There was a moment of silence when all we heard was the sound of Blakes angry breath. I totally got his frustration though. I had been around this Chase for only a minute and was already pretty annoyed. "Also, this is just a thought though, but I've always though Blake sounds like a woman's name. Very feminine." He paused for a second. "It suits him."

"Shut up," Blake finally pushed through, which kind of took me by surprised though, because I didn't see Blake as the kind of guy who would say something like that.

"Sorry, just trying to make sure your girlfriend knows what she's getting herself into. If I were her, I would run as fast as I could."

"Stop talking," Blake said, louder this time.

What was he talking about? What about Blake did give me a reason to run?

"He's boring as hell," Chase said.

Oh, okay.

We sat in this super awkward silence for a couple of minutes, and there was still fifteen minutes left to the park where I was taking them. How awkward wasn't this. I turned on the radio, asking God why I hadn't thought about that earlier. But the song didn't get to play long before Chase opened his big mouth again.

"So how did you guys meet? Is there a local chess club in our neighborhood or something?"

I waited for Blake to answer but he just shook his head, angrily. If it wasn't for the awkwardness, I probably could have managed to keep my mouth shut too, but I couldn't.

"Actually," I started, "we met on tinder." From the corner of my eye I could see Blake rubbing his forehead with his hand, closing his eyes for a second.

"Tinder?" Chase bursted out, laughing a bit. "Whoa, Blake, really? So, you've finally decided to lose your virginity?"

"I'm not a! -" Blake started but then shut his mouth again.

"Yeah, smart one dude, stay silent about this one."

Oh my God. This Chase was really awful. I wanted not to get involved, but he was making it really hard for me. "There's nothing wrong about being a virgin," I surprised myself by saying. Blakes head turned to me for a brief second, looking a little surprised.

"Oh," Chase started, dragging the word out, making me instantly regretting saying anything. But I couldn't really help it. It was unfair how Chase was treating Blake. Chase leaned forward again. "So, your both virgins," he said, making me roll my eyes, big time.

"What is your problem?" Blake spit out. "I just canceled my date to come pick you up at the damn hospital! And for what? You won't even tell me what happened to you!"

"Chase rolled his eyes. "Oh, don't act like you're doing me some big ass favor. You're gonna have to do a lot more then picking me up at the hospital before we're even."

Blake turned frustrated in his seat, trying to meet Chases look. "You're still upset about that? Seriously? Can't you just get over it?"

"No." Chases annoying smirks were gone. He looked angry for real this time, leaned back in the seat with his arms crossed over his bare chest.

What were they talking about?

"You're unbelievable," Blake whispered once, and the silence were back. This time Chase didn't even try making another comment.

I couldn't stop wondering what was going on between them. My curiosity was killing me, and I was torturing myself by not asking any intrusive questions. We drove the last ten minutes in complete silence, not a single word was spoken.

It surprised me that two so different people could be related to each other, not to mension being identical twins! Blake was such a sweet and good guy. Chase on the other hand... I peeked at him through the mirror. What an asshole. His shirt was completely open now, revealing parts of his stomach. Probably the player of the decade. I rolled my eyes.

I decided I wasn't going to let Chase ruin my interest in Blake. I didn't have to like his brother to like him.

"Then were here," I carefully said when parking next to Blakes car at the parking lot. "Are you sure you'll get home? I could always drive you home."

Blake tried to smile. "No, it's okay, we will find a gas station somewhere. If not we can always take the bus."

"If she said she can drive us -" Chase started.

"No," Blake abrupted. He smiled at me again. "Thank you so much for giving me a ride to the hospital."

"You're welcome," I smiled.

He put his hand on mine and sent shivers through my body. Holy smokes. "I hope you still want to see me again? Even after all of this?"

I didn't even have to think twice about it. I held on tighter to his hand and smiled, not even caring about the blushing in my cheeks. "Off course," I answered. Blake held my eyes for a moment, before looking down into my hand.

Chase was still sitting quiet in the back seat, watching us with a frown, even though he was the creepy one for just sitting there. "Okay, I'm leaving," he said and stood up. "Let's get home so you can write all about it in your diary." He shut close the car door, and I and Blake rolled our eyes at the same time.

Our faces were only inches apart, and for a second, I wondered if he was gonna kiss me. I looked at his lips and wet mine own. When my eyes met Blakes, his look went all over my face, ending on my lips. It was happening, I was about to kiss him. But just as I was to close my eyes and lean in, he pulled away and stepped out of the car. Oh, okay.

"Then I meet you soon then?" he asked, looking a little shaky.

I swallowed and forsed a smile that was a little to big. "Yes, off course. Can't wait!" He shut the door close, and I started the car.

I hadn't been driving for more then five minutes before I got a text.

Blake: I got the house to myself on Friday, if you want to come over?

I smiled at my phone, already looking forward to it. Home alone. Cool. I had never been at a guys house before. Never alone with him. Wait, did he expect us to...? No, he wasn't like that. Or maybe he was? Wait, did I want to sleep with him? No, it was WAY too soon. How could he expect me to agree to sleeping with him – that early? He wasn't planning on ignoring consent, was he? He bettered not.

Pling! I grabbed my phone again, suddenly a little angry at Blake. It was a new text from him

Blake: I thought we could make cup cakes and play some video games? Or is that boring?

I breathed out, more relieved than ever.

Kate: Sounds amazing;)

I though about how great it was gonna be, only Blake and I, no irritating Chase to ruin our date. Pictures of Chase with his messy hair and open shirt went through my mind again. Asshole. He bettered not be there...
