I was in the middle of the night. The moonlight shining through the window had woke me up and now I couldn't sleep. I looked at the clock; 11:56. Had I only been sleeping for an hour? I laid down and tried to sleep again. But I couldn't.
Suddenly I heard a sound coming from outside the bedroom. Who was up at this time? It wasn't that late, but I though everyone went to bed at the time I did. I rolled out of my bed, quiet so that I didn't wake up Jade.
As I opened the bedroom door and looked outside, I couldn't see anyone. In fact, I couldn't see much at all. It was dark, all the light turned off, only moonlight shining in through the big glass windows.
I put on my bathrobe and walked carefully out the bedroom. As I turned the corner to the living room, the noise got louder, and I saw the back of a person staring out at the lake.
"Blake?" I asked, with a hopeful smile on my lips.
He turned around, slowly, and that's when I noticed that it wasn't Blake.
Chase...
His look was completely emotionless as he looked into my eyes. His hair was as normal falling into his face, yet what I noticed was something different. He had changed clothes, wearing the same outfit that I first saw him wearing, an open white shirt and denim jeans, his chest glistening in the light.
"You got back now?" I asked, not knowing exactly what to say.
He turned away from me, staring out at the lake again.
"I'm not mad at you," I said, not knowing what kind of words he needed now. I couldn't even tell if he was sad or angry. I hoped he wasn't angry at me. I mean, it wasn't like he had a reason.
He still didn't turn, so I carefully walked all over to him and put a hand on his shoulder, which actually felt really weird, so I quickly took it off again.
"I'm not worried that you're mad at me," he suddenly said, still not looking at me.
"Oh, well that's good."
"But I have to tell you something." He turned to me and suddenly we were face to face, only inches apart. I took a step away from him, trying not to make it obvious.
"Sure, what's happening?" It started praying to God, that it wasn't another bad thing Blake had done. I couldn't be. The moment earlier had been too good to be ruined by another stupid thing.
Chase grabbed after my hand, that annoyingly sent shivers through my body. "You know when I got mad earlier?"
Yeah, it would be weird if I had forgotten about it. "Yeah?"
"Well," he started, not being able to look me in the eyes. "Fuck, Blake is gonna kill me for saying this."
What the heck?
"If it's something mean and stupid about him then I don't want to hear it," I bursted out, loud and clear.
"It's not." He looked me deep into the eyes. "Well, I got so mad because I'm kind of jealous of him."
What?
"Chase, what are you talking about?"
A couple of quiet seconds went by. He seemed to struggle getting the words out. "I ... well, I'm kind of into you Kate." He let out a little laugh and took a step back. "Damn, that felt nice to get out."
What the actual fu...
"Wha- How-"
"Listen, I know, its weird. I barely know you. But there's something about you that I like. And no, its not only the fact that you are insanely hot, you're also cool and stuff. Shit, I don't know how to put this into words."
"Chase, I'm dating your brother-."
"Don't, please. I know, but it's not like he owns you. You decide who you want to be with." He grabbed after my hand, which now was shaking. He got closer to me. "You know you want me Kate," he whispered.
Our lips were only inches apart as I saw him biting his own. We stood so close that our bodies were basically touching, our arms meeting skin to skin.
"You know what I said about fucking you the other night? The moment you let me; I'd do it?"
I swallowed, getting chills all over my body. I nodded. "Uh-huh..."
He got closer, his mouth whispering into my ear. "I still mean it..."
I closed my eyes as he bowed down and kissed me. My whole body filled with emotions as his warm lips made my whole world fade for a moment. It was slow and soft, yet powerful and passionate. It was different from anything I ever had felt before.
As he pulled away, he took my hand in his. "I want to show you something."
"Sure," I said, and followed him to the front door.
My bathrobe flew open as we walked outside, not even wearing shoes. He took of his shirt and threw it on the ground, not stopping.
"What did you do that for?" I asked, still following behind him.
"Do you wish I didn't?" He turned to me with a smirk.
The moonlight shined on his beautiful upper body, defining every part of it. I swallowed. "No."
We had gotten down to the water and Chase stopped. He then started pulling off his pants, revealing his now beautiful under body. Not that there was a part of him I hadn't seen before...
"Get undressed," he said. "There's still some time. We're going swimming."
"Right now?" I asked, looking down at myself. Standing next to such a perfect body I was scared that my own would be a disappointment to him.
"You're beautiful," he said, with a smile that made me believe him.
Confidently, I dropped my bathrobe, only standing in my underwear.
"Wow," he let out. Then he took off his boxers...
Oh my.
"You don't have to if you don't want to," he said while his look went over my body, more directing at my underwear.
I swallowed, still somewhat in shock from the fact that I once again got to see Chase fully naked. Fuck it...I though, before unclasping my bra and taking off my panties.
He smiled, studying me from head to toe as I was fully undressed. "We are finally in true contact with nature," he said, looking across the grand lake.
"What are you talking about?" I asked.
"Get in," he demanded, but softly, while holding out his hand for me.
I hesitantly grabbed it and followed him into the water.
"I know most people don't do it in water, but we'll give it a try."
My eyes went wide open. "What?" He wasn't talking about sex, was he???
His eyes looked up to the moon that was slightly covered by a cloud. As the cloud slowly disappeared, Chase looked nearly hypnotized by the moon. "Isn't it beautiful?" he asked.
"Wait?" I said, getting closer to Chase. "What is that under your eyes?"
He turned to me andwatched it grow thicker. What... the... heck...
Fur started growing out of his face...
His teeth got bigger...and sharper...
Was that... ears on top of his head?!
He grabbed me with hands that now was turned into paws. "Let's make love and make hybrid werewolf-human-babies."
And then I woke up.
I was caving for air as if I just had run a marathon.
It was just a dream. Thank God.
Chase was thankfully not a werewolf and I was not naked by the lake.
Nor did we ever kiss...
Yep, thank God for that...
