Chapter 37 - Different Strokes

*Dolph's P.O.V.*

I was walking backstage at Main Event when I ran into Dean. I didn't know if I should run, speak, or cover my neck so he couldn't choke me.

"Dean. Man, I am sooo sorry. I would never do anything to hurt a friend like you. I just want you to know."

"Look man, I really don't want to talk to you right now." he said aggressively.

"I know, but just listen. Seth needs you ! He misses you ! He -" I last said before he punched me in the nose.

"Dean !" Summer screamed running to us.

"Why would you do that !?"

"Because he's crazy !"

"No, why would you do that !? You know I wanted to see it !" she said.

"Summer, I'm sorry ! I didn't mean-" I last said before she slapped me.

"You slept with my bestfriend ! And he's not even prettier than me." she said.

"You guys ! I'm sorry ! I don't know what else to say ! I've been apologizing for weeks and I've been trying to get you two back together !"

"And what about me ?" Summer asked breaking the silence.

"I don't know Summer. I mean, what can I say about us ? What happened that night wasn't because of you. I was wasted and Seth just bought out a side of me I never knew I had to be honest."

Dean instantly grabbed me by the throat and threw me against the wall.

"Dean ! What are you- ? Let him go !" I heard Seth yell.

*Seth's P.O.V.*

"Seth, I-" Dean said at a list for words.

"I think you two have some making up to do. Go do it before he breaks leg." Dolph said panting frantically.

{The Talk}

"We haven't talked since that day. It's been weeks."

"Dean, listen. I really truly am sorry. I didn't mean for that happen." I said.

"I know, which is why, I forgive you." he said.

Everything in life suddenly stopped. Everything in my chest began to swell up. How could I tell him what I've come to ?

"No, I can't."

"Wait, what ?" he asked shocked.

"Look, the time we had together was amazing, but after everything that's happened, I realized you're just not him." I confessed.

"What do you mean I'm not him ?" he asked.

"You're not Dolph Ziggler."

"Haha. Wow. Just wow. You mean to tell me that I'm over here busting my ass to change who I am, not you, me ! And I'm being kicked to the curb for a guy you barely talk to !?" he fired at me.

"Dean, we can still be friends, but I just feel like we lost it somewhere."

"You're not making any sense ! I'll tell you what happened, we didn't lose it, I lost it. I lost myself for someone who I thought actually gave a damn about me !" he yelled punching the wall and walking away.

*Dolph's P.O.V.*

"So what happened ?" I asked approaching Seth.

"I didn't do it. I can't be with him. He doesn't make me feel like you make me feel." he said. "You give me this special feeling, it's just hard to explain."

I just sat beside him motionless as he gave me a kiss. What the hell have I done ? I spent all this time trying to get them to talk and now it was all worthless !

After Main Event, we went back to the hotel and Seth cooked me dinner. I wanted to 'break up' with him, but the food was so good I couldn't break his heart after a five-star meal.

"So what are you gonna do now that you and Dean are no more ? You're still the Shield." I reminded him as we crawled into bed.

"Business is business, and whatever happens happens. But let's not worry about that, let's worry about us." he answered.

He turned off the lights and wrapped his arms around. I didn't want to, but I slowly wrapped mine around him as well. I had an important decision to make: should we have sex, or should no ?

I felt Seth squirming out of his clothes, and I told myself "Don't do it ! Wheel power Dolph !" But I was already getting out my underwear. Seth took my shirt off and I started on his neck.

"Why are you doing this !? I said no !" I yelled to myself. Seth started going down on me and I let him with no hesitation.

I tilt my head back, not in the pleasure, but in the guilt. I didn't want this, the sex was good, but I didn't want this. He wasn't my friend exactly, but I was wrong for this.

"Seth, come on Seth. Not tonight." I said pulling him up.

"What's wrong, was it too much teeth ?" he asked.

"No, it was fine. I'm just not in the mood for sex."

"It's Summer isn't it ?" he asked. "She's obsessed with you isn't she ?"

"Yeah .... that's exactly it. I just miss her and I feel bad for what we did to her." I said lying.

"Yeah, we both messed up. Now our only friends left us. We only have eachother now. Dean wants to kill you, Summer wants to kill me, I don't know what Roman's problem is. There's no one left except Layla, but she's only focused on her man, which is why they're probably the only ones together."

This had me thinking. As much as I didn't want to believe it, he was right. Had to change everything and fast !
