I entered the mall and walked around to find her a perfect gift for a special day.
"Magtagalog ka nga! Nasa Pilipinas tayo!" I laughed secretly as I overheard someone said that to a friend. Hope always say that to me tapos babatukan ako after.
I saw a coffee shop selling her favorite bread. I know she'll love this, so I pushed the glass door open and went in.
"Dali na! Ituro mo na yung crush mo!" We were at the canteen. Pinipilit ni Hope na ikwento ko sa kanya kung sino yung crush ko.
"Basta, she loves eating that's why I always see her here."
"Ang damot mo! Lagi ko namang kinukwento sayo pag may bago akong crush!" She said pouting, with her mouth full of bread that we bought.
"Sasabihin ko din sayo paglaki natin." I said trying to convince her.
"Bahala ka nga dyan! Ang damot mo!" She stood up and hurried outside.
"Wait for me!" I shouted. But as I was standing to run after her, she went back, still pouting.
"Nakalimutan ko yung pagkain." She dashed off as soon as her hand got hold of the bread.
I can't help but laugh at the thought of her face that time.
"Sir?" The barrista asked me for the payment with a confused face.
"Oh sorry. How much again?" I asked, a little embarrased.
"Ang tagal pa kasi nun eh!" Hope said, still upset because I can't tell her who my crush is.
We suddenly heard the sound of thunder. She then looked up and smiled. "Pasalamat ka uulan!" Nagiging good mood talaga sya instantly pag-umuulan.
I sighed. How I wish I can turn her upset face into a smile like what the rain always do.
