I walked out of the coffee shop as soon as I got my order. I continued walking around, when I felt my phone vibrate. I was taken aback when I saw that it was Hope calling, I answered it immediately.
"Asan ka?" She said over the line. I think twice if I should tell her the truth. I shrugged. "At the mall." I said.
"Pakibili naman ako ng pads? Hehe." She said uneasily. "Kala ko naeexcite lang ako para bukas kaya masakit tyan ko, meron pala ko hehehe!"
I wasn't shocked by her favor. But why me? I sighed again.
"Okay Hopia." I said. "Yung gaya ng dati ah! The best ka talaga Claudio hihi!" She added then ended the call. Alam na alam nyang di ako makakatanggi.
I went to the supermarket to buy those pads. I laughed secretly when I saw a boy scratching his head at the stall of sanitary pads. I guess he's thinking which one to buy.
"Tara na sa canteen! Bilisan mo! Nagugutom na ko!" She said at saka nauna nang maglakad.
My eyes grew wide when I saw a red spot at the back of her skirt. I immediately ran toward her and hugged her from the back!
"Anong ginagawa mo!?" She asked and continued walking.
"Wait!" Hinarangan ko muli ang likuran nya. "May tagos ka." I whispered that made her stop. I took my jacket off and tie it on her waist. Nanlaki ang mata nya at dire-diretsong nagtatakbo papuntang washroom.
She stopped before entering and shyly whispered something to me. "Pakibili naman ako ng pads, please." I just nodded and went on my way without any idea what she meant by that.
Maswerte pa nga tong lalaki dito dahil tama sya ng pinuntahan. Back then, I brought a pad paper. Hope even told me that I am stupid. And I can't argue because I really don't know what that pad is.
"Nakakainis kasi si mama eh! Di ako pinayagang magpaulan!" Nagdadabog nyang sabi while her eyes are glued at the screen. We're playing a video game at their house.
"Eh syempre---"
"Ano ha?! Ano!?" She said in fury while pressing the buttons of the controller. "Nakakainis kasi eh! Dapat pati lalaki nagkaka-red tide para fair!"
I laughed at what she said but stopped instantly nang batukan nya ko ng malakas!
"Nakakatawa yon!?" She sarcastically said.
Nakamot ko nalang ang batok ko. "Ang sungit talaga pag meron." I whispered, baka mabatukan na naman ako pagnarinig nya.
I went straight to the counter after getting what she needs. Kailangan ko pang bumili ng regalo!
