Love Awaits

Luke and I were in the park for a while, I was there sobbing in his arms.

"So, you love him?" Luke asks silently.
"So much."
"Even more than Ash?"
"I don't know Luke, maybe I do." I sigh.
"If you want Calum, be with Calum." Luke shrugged.
"I don't want to leave Ashton"
"You sure are a mess" Luke chuckles.
"Yeah I am" I smile a bit wiping my tears off my cheeks.
That's when my phone rang.
I answer, it's Ashton.
"Nevaeh? Come to the hospital, and please hurry" I hear sobs.
"I'm on my way" I rush to the car with Luke not so far behind.
"Wait why are we running to the car again?" Luke takes short breaths
"Ashton said there's something going on in the hospital and we should go there as soon as possible."
Luke just nods and rushes to get his keys out of his pocket.
I've never seen Luke drive this fast before, I was so nervous and I didn't even realize how fast he was going, until I saw headlights going quickly towards the car.
"Luke!" I scream frantically.
And my vision went black.

Ashtons POV

Where the hell is she? I think.
I was pacing around the hospital hallway with my mum and my younger brother Harry sitting down 2 feet away from me.
"Anne Marie Irwin?" A doctor comes out of the room Lauren was in.
My mum stands up and walks toward the doctor. I walk with her.
"Ms. Irwin, I'm sorry to inform you but Lauren couldnt make it." The tall doctor explains.
I tear up, but I hold them back and anger takes over my body.
"What kind of fucking doctor are you?!"
"I'm sorry sir but excuse me?"
"You let my little sister fucking die!"
"Sir we did everything we could"
"That wasn't fucking enough! I can't believe this," I quiet down
"I can't believe this" I whisper
I hear the hallway doors open and two stretchers come through the hallway
"Did you identify the two teenagers?"
"Yes, one female, Nevaeh Hollands, and the male is Luke Hemmings, they were apparently in a car crash"
I rush towards the stretcher with the female in it, running along with the doctors as they explain what surgery they're going to preform on them.
"Nevaeh?" I stroke her cheek.
"Ash" she whispers.
"I'm sorry, so sorry." I kiss her forehead.
"Sir you're going to have to leave now we are about to set up for the surgery."
"Uhm, yeah sure" I stand up.
"I'll be right here baby girl, right here." I kiss her forehead and walk back to where my mum and Harry were sitting.
How could I let this happen?

it's been atleast an hour since Nevaeh has gone into surgery, her mother and Liz, Luke's mother has arrived not too long after they started the surgery.
Liz is there sobbing, so is my mum, Nevaehs mum is sitting there in fear calling every relative she has.
And Harry is just sitting in the corner, I go up to him.
"Everything's going to be alright" I tear up.
"Is Nevaeh going to be alright?" He looks up with tear-stained cheeks.
"I don't know, just worry if mums going to get through this, I'll be home a lot now, and I'll need your help for this recovery."

Nevaehs POV

I wake up, it's cold in here, all I remember is driving in the car to see Ashton.
I look around, I'm in a hospital room, and the first person I see is Calum, sitting beside me.
"W-where's the other boys?" I ask coughing after I say.
"They're comforting Ashtons family, but I'm pretty sure Ashton will be here soon."
"What happened?"
"You were in a car crash and-"
"No I mean with Ashtons family"
"Lauren passed away"
"Oh my gosh, not Lauren, is that why he wanted me to come here. Oh my gosh." I tear up.
"Don't cry" Calum moves a strand of my hair behind my ear.
"I'm sorry" I whisper.
"There's no need to be sorry" Calum says.
"Not for that, for what happened earlier"
"Oh" he whispers.
"I love you too" I look at him.
He says nothing.
I didn't realize he was kissing me until the door opens
"Neva- WHAT THE FUCK" Ashton yells
I push Calum away.
"It's not what you think" I say.
"Well it looks like you were smooching all over Calum, AKA cheating"
"He kissed me"
"Yeah Ash, I kissed her."
"Fuck you're not making things any better Hood!" Ashton yells.
"Just leave Calum" I sneeze my eyes shut to hold the tears back.
He gets up to leave, Ashton glaring at him every move he makes.
"I'll see you soon" he smiles.
"Nevaeh-"
"You too Ash, just leave"
"I knew I never should have fucking did this in the first place." He slams the door shut as the tears start flowing down my cheeks.
