It was around 10 PM when there were knocks on Harry's door. Thinking it was Niall he went to open the door. He was a bit surprised when he didn't see Niall but Louis standing there.
"Oh hey," Harry says.
"Hey," Louis says as he catches his breath. "I'm sorry I just... Fans harassed me and got rude and... I had to run from them as I panicked and I stopped close to your place and just went here..."
"Oh my God. Are you okay? Come in." He steps aside so Lou can walk in.
It's a week after the meeting and thank God the media forgot about the kissing photo. Louis has been trying to figure things out and it feels weird for Eleanor not to be around him since they've been together for so long.

They sit down on the couch. "Do you want anything to drink?" Harry asks.
"Some water, thanks," Louis replies.
He nods and gets up. He grabs them some drinks and then walks back.
"What did the fans ask?" Harry asks Louis as he hands him his drink.
Louis takes it. "First they asked if El and I broke up. Then they kept asking if I'm gay. If I'm with you. And more stuff like that."
"That's sounds terrible. I'm so sorry to hear that."
"When I said I am not gay and I don't want to talk about it they kept asking and even more extreme and I felt so uneasy and not safe anymore."
"Did they do anything to you?"
"They came really close to me and didn't back off when I asked them to they only came closer."

Harry wraps his arms around him. "You didn't deserve that. I hope the fans feel bad or something. Or they're not real fans."
Louis wraps his arms around him. "Thanks," he says softly.
"Do you need to get you home?"
"No. I want to stay with you."
"Okay," Harry says and he slowly let's go of him.
Louis looks at him and takes more distance. He clears his throat and doesn't know what to say for a second.
Harry looks at him. "How are you dealing with everything that has been going on? You holding up?"
"I guess." He shrugs. "It's tough. But I will get there, I guess."

"You guess?" Harry asks.
Louis shrugs. "Yeah. I am fine. It's just... weird."
"I get that. It is all so weird."
"I am glad I met you over this, though." He smiles at Harry.
Harry smiles as well. "That's really nice. Thank you."
Louis smiles and just kisses him again. Harry breaks the kiss almost right away. "Louis, don't."
Hurt fills Louis' face. "Oh..."
"It's not that... I just..." Harry thinks of words to say. "You can't keep doing this, Lou. I get that you're confused and are going through a breakup and you don't know how to react to this. But you can't just keep kissing me. That's not right."

"I know it just feels... Right," Louis says. He looks at the ground before getting up. "I should go."
"No. Stay."
Louis looks at him. He doesn't move.
"Let's talk. You clearly need it."
Louis now nods. "Okay."
Harry starts to ask a question, a hard one. "Louis, do you like me? Answer honestly. I won't judge you for any answer. It's just to help you more."
Louis looks at Harry with big eyes. "Excuse me?"
"Well, you keep kissing me so I am asking if you like me or not."
"I- I don't know?" Louis answers. "Something inside of me wants to be with you and have you on my side as I go through this and another part of me is saying it's wrong to want something like that."

Harry nods. "You're confused and that's fine. If you're confused you shouldn't just try to kiss me or kiss me randomly. I am not your test subject. I've been there before, trust me. It is just really not the best idea to play with my emotions."
Louis nods. "I know... I'm sorry... I should keep my distance I guess and try to figure it out myself."
Harry nods. "I mean, I'd love to help you. Just not like this."
Louis is quiet for a moment. He is thinking. "I think it's best if I try to keep my distance until everything is better. If you want that at least."
"Yeah. Sure. Of course. Do whatever is best for you. I'm always here for you if you need someone."
He smiles. "Thank you. That means a lot."
"No worries."

Louis his phone goes off. He checks it. "My manager texted me. I got to go."
"Alright."
He gets up and walks towards the door. "We will see each other... whenever."
Harry chuckles. "Bye Lou."
Louis doubts for a second but then walks out the door.
