"Aren't you cold?" They were walking back to his apartment, the temperature having dropped even further since the clock ticked over last midnight.
"A little. But I wanted to look good for my mate." Seokjin just rolled his eyes, sighing as he snuggled down a little bit deeper into his thick hoodie. "Don't tell me you don't like it."
"Don't call me out like that." Of course he liked it. He'd have to be blind not to.
"I could dress like this for you all the time."
"Please don't. I don't think I could take it."
"You could have that any time you want to."
A loud groan emitted from deep within his throat, an icy chill suddenly blowing over them, making him shiver and unconsciously slipped in closer to his mate.
"Almost there." Jungkook spoke quietly, wrapping an arm around Jin's shoulders, bringing him in closer.
"I can't believe I'm doing this. I don't even know you."
"I'm your mate. You're meant to be with me like this."
"You don't even know me."
"Which is exactly why we need to spend time together."
"We couldn't have done it during the day?"
"We could. But I really don't want to let you go right now."
"I really don't want you to let me go."
"Then I won't. I'll hold you forever if you'll let me."
"Stop." God he was blushing. He knew he was blushing. He could feel the heat rising into his cheeks.
Slipping inside the lobby was like a blessing, heat instantly seeping into their frozen bodies and making them both sigh out in relief.
"Come on. I'm on the third floor." Interlacing their fingers, he led Seokjin up the stairs, taking them at half his normal speed, realizing that most people didn't run up six flights of stairs like they were running a marathon.
"Have you ever thought about moving some place with an elevator?"
"Well, now that I've found my mate maybe I'll have a reason to."
"What?"
"My place isn't that big. And if we're gonna make a life together, we should probably pick some place we both like."
"Don't you think you're getting a bit ahead of yourself?"
"No? You're my mate. It's only natural for us to live together."
"You don't even know me."
"So? Tell me what I need to know." Their journey was short after that, second door on the left. Unlocking it quickly, he pushed the door open and leaned in to turn on the light, before tugging Seokjin inside. "Make yourself at home. Like I said it isn't much but -"
"It's really nice." It wasn't much. A little kitchenette just off the living room and a single door that he could only assume led into the bedroom. But it felt warm, lived in and cared for. There were plants lined up at the large bay window, and a large, comfortable couch placed in front of a wall mounted flat screen. And - fuck he had never even seen that many video game consoles.
"Thanks. I know it sounds kind of sad but it's the first place I got by myself after college, so it's kind of special to me."
"I wouldn't mind staying here. It's big enough for the both of us." What in the name of fuck was he even saying? He wasnt supposed to be encouraging this.
