Detention

Aelin's POV
I couldn't believe it I was fighting Nini Salazar Roberts while Big Red and Ricky as well as Kourtney watched well Kourtney was pulling Nini back and Big Red was trying to pull me from Nini but to no success.

I kept tugging her and punching for a good solid minutes , til I saw Principal Gutierrez stormed out of his office.
Oh shit

"MS. SHIRLEY, MS. SALAZAR ROBERTS , MR. BOWEN , MS DANIELS AND MR.  FELTSTEIN , WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS", Principal Gutierrez yelled I'm pretty sure the whole school could hear him.

"A little argument" ? ,  Kourtney has said to defuse the tension and uncomfortableness of the situation, that ultimately didn't help.

Little argument yeah right

Principals Gutierrez looked like fumes were coming out of his ears, all of a sudden the perky cheerful lady I now know as our new drama teacher Ms. Jenn , came out of as I now know as the theatre room , Kourtney and Nini started to look hopeful while me and Big Red were freaking  out while Ricky just looked calm.

"What seems to be the problem" she said , wayyyyyyy too cheerfully for my liking .

"Ms. Shirley and Ms. Salazar Roberts decided it would be a splendid idea to get into a physical altercation ON SCHOOL GROUNDS , on the first day of school", he explained dramatically.

"Well, instead of having detention instead why don't we have them all try out for the school play ". ,    much to the delight of others Kourtney volunteer to work in the costume department and work overtime if needed , and Big Red wanted to work the lights and , Ms. Jenn happily agreed. Ricky looked hopeful and said he would try out much to the  annoyance of Nini and I agreed to try out but I'd probably screw it up.

Ms. Jenn told all of us to meet her in the room she came out of afterschool and Ricky decided to skate to his next class but not til Principal Gutierrez stopped him and told him to stop skateboarding inside of school.

If you didn't know Ricky had a knack of getting detention I didn't but since Kourtney and Nini were verbally attacking Ricky and victimizing him abou he being the one to break up with her I had to step in.

School , went on antagonizingly long and I had classes with Big Red and Ricky I  only didn't have them for two classes which were theatre and apparel but I had apparel with Kourtney which was painful to say the least and theatre with Nini this school must hate me.

After the final bell rang to signal the end of the school day I headed to the theatre room there was a lot of people with numbers on and I assumed it was for auditioning I saw a girl I recognized as Ashlyn the cousin who was very nice and shy  of the egotistical rude senior E.J Caswell  great and he was dating and sitting right next to you guessed it Nini.

Kill me now

On the bright side I spotted Delilah who scolded me in a motherly way of getting in trouble but also understood of where I was coming from , she was also trying to swat Big Reds hands away from her hair and curing to him in Spanish which made me laugh. , I also wondered where Ricky was because auditions were almost over while I was chatting about  Delilah and Kourtney working in the costume department.

E.J's audition was really bad and I honestly felt sorry for him I then saw a girl I now know as a sophomore named Gina Porter who tried out for Gabriella. Then it was my turn.

A guy I know as Seb gave me a thumbs up  and Delilah and Big Red cheered and shouted in support which I gave them a smile. I was sad though  Ricky was suppose to be here but he bailed.

I decided what the hell and to try out for Gabriella and I decided to sing On My Own because honestly this is the story of my life I belted it out like there was no tomorrow using a voice I didn't even know I possessed all the hurt and angry and I just belted it out for Carlos and Ms. Jenn who I looked to see were frozen in shock because of how good I was I hoped.

I then got an ovation of applause from everyone even  Gina was impressed I even got a compliment from Carlos saying that " Beyoncé  is shaking" , I then looked to see Ricky rushing down and saying he prepared a song and was auditioning for Troy which oh great I would have to rehearse lines with him if him and I get the part. EVEN KISS which is totally wack in my opinion.

He did the infamous song that Nini originally sang for him and I knew he was trying to prove a point but it really wasn't working and Delilah was shooting me a wtf look I just shrugged Ricky kept looking at Nini the whole time and I could feel my heart breaking even more.

Then everyone gave applause except me Nini and E.J and , Carlos and Ms. Jenn said the cast list would be posted tomorrow morning.
