The living room
AELIN POV
Well I woke up and realised i was in my dress from last night and then i changed into a cropped top and sweatpants and i realised my room was my favourite theme i really adorned the hard work which had been put into making something so fabulous. I went out in the living room to get to the kitchen and began making my pancakes . In the midst of my aewsometastic cooking something interrupted me or rather someone. Well it was my dorm mate and i didnt mind if he would leave me on my path and him on his and then i heard
"Galathynius??"
"Yup prince its meh"
"You sure that you didn't mix your number up"
"I know I am sure buzzard"
And then he made me cook him breakfast as we sat down to eat our breakfast quietly we then parted ways since he was leaving for his running or jog and i fell asleep.
ROWAN POV
I was about to leave , i grabbed my keys and was half out of the door-
And then i heard a high pitched scream that could shatter anyones heart , i ran in knowing the person of this scream was in pain in i went and saw the whole room in flames aelin wrapped in a cocoon of fire unable to extinguish her fire and control it wasn't properly breathing, I willed my ice towards her flame smothering every single ember of her flame. I send a messenger for Elide and Lysandra a d then I carry her to the bathtub observing her torso she was wraith thin.damn all those who even touched her i felt my territorial fae instincts taking over and then i put her down opened the water turned it cold with a snap of my fingers and left . Hearing a knock on the door i ran to open it and asked the two girls to go to aelin i guided them towards the bathing room and left . The two ladies came out saying she was fine and that i should carry her back in the meanwhile they would cook her some porridge. I got her out , her breaths were still shallow and and her face was pale , walking in her room her scent caught up to me and i put her on her bed draping covers over her . Her bed was really a cot sort of thingie, i sat down beside her and in a gentle voice called her , " aelin , aelin are you okay?"
She didnt reply so i kept sitting there looking around the room and i noticed a frame on her desk , i picked it and saw a picture of her dorian and chaol the trio standing on a balcony and hugging each other , there was another one of her and nehemia the two girls wearing black gowns and were dancing, the final frame was of her and a guy who had brown hair and light brown eyes they both were holding each other gently . I heard a cough i turned to see aelin sitting on her bed tears rolling down her cheeks her eyes hollow and empty , there was no colour in her face. She was crying holding a picture of the mystery guy and hugging it . I walked to her and grasped her hand and she jerked towards me and out of the blue hugged me , her tears one by one falling on my shoulder and her sobs now filled the room i kept trying to calm her
"I lost him , i-it was-s my f -fault" she stuttered and began weeping again
I then found my vouce to ask , " who was he ."
"He was my boyfriend,my first love, my happiness,"
So this was the guy she was talking about i pulled her into my embrace and shushed her , sfter some while she stopped crying and faced me again saying she wanted to go somewhere and asked me to get my car started and asked me to politely wait. I left the room sending lysandra in and sat on the couch . She came out with aelin who was barely walking shaking my head I scooped her and thankfully she didnt protest .
"Well ladies we shall be going and lysandra lock the door when you're leaving ," aelin muttered
And i carefully went to the parking lot where i put her in the passenger seat and got in and we left . She gave me instructions and i drove all the way to Rifthold from Orynth and finally we reached outside an apartment in the slums of Rifthold. I carried her again as we entered i caught the scent of warm cocoa and chocolate and the place lookead like it was used.
"Hey aelin ! If your mate or boyfriend lives here I should get going he wont appreciate me with you ."
At the word mate and boyfriend her tears began rolling .
"N-no he he died , they cut him up ."
So he was the mysterious guy
"I was here the day of our fight ,that might be the reason why scented him on me ."
Well that explains everything i put her down on the couch and got her a glass of water and sat down myself . She told me about him and i listened carefully every detail going through my mind twice . Then a bang was heard from the kitchen we ran in to see my dear friend fenrys there .
"Finally ! Prince , her highness asks of you you shall leave for Doranelle now i will take the young queen home."
What ! Maeve called me i hd to leave now . I bid my farewells and quickly left leaving fenrys and aelin outside who was limping and was weeping since she missed her love and was upset. But I can't care at all , reminding myself i hate her i left .
Time skip
Upon reaching Doranelle i strode to the throne room as i went in i bowed and waited for her to ask
" well!well! Prince you're finally here , i missed you but sadly remelle is reaching orynth and i have to send you back,
and how pleasant that you made friends with my long lost niece, but alas dont even hope . You know what iam talking about prince so dont deny it you will hate her . Your queens orders" she said smiling smugly like a cat. "Now go back!"
