Finding the Truth

Chapter.6

Jay POV:

My heart was beating out of my chest as me and Nya walked down the hallway towards our friends and family. I'm scared. Like super scared. What if I cry? Crap... I'm gonna cry. At least I got Nya with me, but I know I'm still gonna cry. 

We reached the entrance to the living room and both paused. This caught the attention of everyone inside as they looked at both of us confused, but then they looked just at me with sympathy. I gave Nya a nervous glance signally her that I don't wanna speak. She then smiled at me and sighed looking back to everyone else.

"Me and Jay have something to tell you all about..." after she said that both of us caught a glimpse of what Cole was holding in his hands, the letter " and it will definitely explain that" Nya continued.

Nya led me to where we were previously sitting and took a seat as I followed her actions. My breath quickened and I could feel everyone's stares on me which just made everything worse. I then felt Nyas hand slip into mine once again and giving me a reassuring squeeze letting me know that everything will be alright. I gave her a small smile and she returned it. That's when Cole decided to break the silence.

" What was it that you had to tell us?" He asked trying to get some answers showing that he was worried, as well as everyone else.

I took a deep breath preparing myself to finally speak up, it's really difficult to look back on the memories of Nadakhan but I know that I can't hide this forever " So you know that murals outside on the wall that show all our battles?"

In unison, they all responded with a yes still pretty confused about where I'm going with this.

"Well that letter can be explained with the story about the one I and Nya are on with the wacko pirate djinn guy that almost destroyed Ninjago"

I'm so nervous 

" Then why don't we remember any of it?" Kai asked trying to get to the point 

" Let me just tell the story, it will explain everything" I took another deep breath and continued " So it all started when we were framed..." 

I told them about how we went on the run because a djinn was framing us for crimes we did not commit, how Wu got taken by the djinn, that we got arrested and taken to Kryptariam prison but also escaped and had to take captain Soto out with us because he had answers to the only thing that can weaken a djinn which was tiger widow venom. Then I came to the part where Nadakhan had gotten me alone.

"Ok so after I talked to Nya I went off on my own to scold myself and just think but that's when h-he come to me--"

"Sorry Jay I do not mean to interrupt but what is the name of the djinn?" Zane asked making my blood run cold. I hate thinking about his name let alone saying it out loud, but I had to give an answer to the question.

"U-uh his name w-was N-N-Na-Nad--" I was really struggling to get the damn name out, why is this so difficult. I'm guessing Nya picked up on the fact that I was struggling so she cut me off.

"Nadakhan...his name was Nadakhan" 

Just hearing that name made my breathing get faster, but I did try my best not to panic and so I continued. "A-Anyways N-N-Nadakhan tricked me into making my first w-wish which was that I wasn't poor anymore and that I wasn't born in a junkyard..." I look down but continued " That w-wish ended up revealing something I thought was all a lie until now...I'm adopted"
