What gets my motor running? Of course his moans and begs and pouts, but to begin with? It's his composure. Him being put together is what makes me want to pull him apart. I want to see him on his knees for me because he walks so tall and proud.

I'm attending a business party with Xavier and I'm finding it very hard to hide what i'm feeling. Xavier's dressed up in a suit, smiling and shaking hands with his boss. I'm smiling alongside him, thanking his boss for the empty compliments.

Mr. Brown tells Xavier that he's a lucky man and Xavier grabs me around the hips. He's so in control and comfortable here. "Believe me, she reminds me everyday of my luck." He glances down at me with a look that makes me break out into a sweat.

I hadn't realize how popular Xavier was at work. I'm casual friends with some of his more friendly coworkers, but it seems every step we make there's someone new to smile at. My face is starting to hurt.

It's an odd sensation to be shown off when i'm usually the one showing him off.

"Nice to meet you Citrus, i'm Aubrey." A tall lady, nearly Xavier's height with her heels, is extending her hand to me. She's wearing a wine colored dress that fits every curve. Her long, brown hair is highlighted tastefully in blonde. Her light brown eyes were glowing, her thick eyelashes fanning out above them. How pretty.

"Nice to meet you as well." I should be smiling but i'm still staring at her.

"I hear you're a screenwriter?"

"Yes, for Warner Bros, but I do a bit of freelance work for Netflix."

"Wow, my little sister interned at Warners this summer."

"Oh, yeah? Did she like it?"

"She says it was quite hectic, i'm not sure she's up for a fast paced career. Her role at the newspaper bored her but I think TV is... too much for her."

"It takes a certain breed." I laugh, letting my eyes fall down to her deep red lips and then her emerald necklace.

"Listen, I need to go pretend to make nice with the junior division, but I hope we can talk again soon."

"So do I." I don't smile at her when I say it, but she must hear something in my voice. She looks into my eyes, almost with fright. She laughs it off and nods as she walks away.

"What does she do?" I ask Xavier, he's already staring down at me.

"We have similar positions."

"Is she married?"

"Widow."

"Children?"

"She was pregnant when her husband died, had a miscarriage. Are you thinking of leaving me for her?"

"Is she gay?"

"I don't know, but i'm sure if she isn't you could convince her otherwise."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"The way you were looking at her... it excited me."

"Oh, get your head out of the gutter." I roll my eyes and gently smack him on the back of the head. He chuckled to himself, leading me to a table. I'm thrilled to see some familiar faces.

"Citrus!" Bernie hugs me with a large grin.

"Ah, Bernie! It's been too long." I pull back to look at him. "Did I ever thank you for sneaking me in?"
