She anxiously turns from side to side The fighting she can no longer abide She fingers the rope, the coarse, woven rope Tears flow down her face as away goes her last hope She steps onto her low chair Nervous, it all ends here She tightens the rope around her slender neck Her hands shaking, her mind a nervous wreck She kicks away the chair, before she can break her resolve She thinks all her problems this will solve As she gasps for breathe, in front of her eyes her life does flash And onto her face her tears start to splash The love, the happiness, then when everything started to go wrong Fighting, screaming, all the poorly written elements of her life’s sad song And the last teardrops from her eyes do fall Before her body responds to death’s ominous, looming call And so ended the sad story of a girl who died all alone And was never found, hanging until she was only skin and bone
