One single word, doesn't say anything, But at the same time it says everything. Just like the rain fall upon your face, Or that old map to a treasure. One single look, doesn't hide anything, But at the same time it hides everything. Just as the flowers hide the mud, Or that old map to a treasure. It is impossible to hide what we mean or feel. A smile says we're happy, but hides our need to cry. A laugh will say we're filled with joy, But cover a scream for help. A sudden movement can say we're hyper, But hide the fact that we're uncomfterble. A single tear from laughter says it's too much, But could also say that we have many more to shed. We may offer people help with their problems, When we can't even handle our own. A scar on our arm can say it was self defence, But could also sream out that we can no longer take the depression. Is it possible to hide what we mean or feel? No... I believe not.
