Once upon a time,
our bond could not be severed.
You said you'd always be true,
but somehow I always knew
love can't always live forever.

Oaths that we both made
that shouldn't have been spoken.
Promises made in the dark,
from the lips but not the heart.
Now those promises are broken.

By myself.
Why did our love have to end up this way?
By myself.
Can't stand to face another lonely day.
By myself.
This isn't how things are supposed to be.
By myself.
Love is supposed to last eternally. 

So many nights,
I cry and think about you.
Lying in the bed that we made,
reliving our masquerade.
No one beside me to make love to.

So many dreams
have scattered in the wind now.
Losing you cut me to the bone.
Don't think that I can stand on my own.
And I have to face the end now.
