Chapter 8

Ethan POV

The next morning I awoke feeling fantastic. I had gone on a casual outing(date) with Juliet. She was absolutely wonderful. I jumped out of bed and ran to the kitchen to cut up some apples for Lilly and I. As I was cutting up the apples a small figure wrapped their arms around my leg.

"Bubby." Lilly said, her voice muffled in my pants. I set the knife on the table and swiftly swung Lilly on my hip.

"Morning boo." I greeted her and kissed her cheek. I carried Lilly and set her on her booster seat at the table. I fixed her a plate of Cheerios and some apple slices.

I fixed myself some trix and snatched myself one of Lilly's apples.

"Heeyy." She whined as I goofily smiled at her. I grabbed Lilly's orange sippy cup filled with milk and gave it to her. We ate our breakfast peacefully and soon we were finished and full.

I cleared our dishes and put them in the overfilling sink of unclean dishes. I should do them...naw. I grabbed Lilly and ran to the living room and threw her gently on the couch; her giggles filling my ears.

"MOVIE DAY!" I yell and plop down next to Lilly and start tickling her. Her laughs are music as she squirms under my hands.

"N-oo bu-bb-yy!" She giggles, trying to cover her from me. I let out a chuckle and grab some of mine and Lilly's favorite movies. They included Peter Pan, 101 Dalmatians, Finding Nemo, and Monsters Inc.

I set them by the television and grab multiple pillows and blankets. I play the movie Peter Pan and cuddle Lilly close to me. Lilly is engrossed in the movie as I get a text.

Unfortunately our conversation came to an end and I turned my attention to the cutest little girl who was in my arms. We continued our movie day and Lilly soon fell asleep. I picked her up and paused Monsters Inc. at the part where Sully and Mike were banished.

I set Lilly in her bed and tucked her in. I gave her a kiss on the forehead and headed back downstairs. I decided to clean the dishes while Lilly finished her nap. Afterwards, I put on the football game. It was San Francisco vs Florida.

Soon Lilly awoke again and I decided to go out to lunch, the two of us. I dressed Lilly in fresh underwear, some black leggings and a pink sweatshirt with the letters, Abc. I put on her black boots and let her loose to play with her toys while I dressed.

I changed into some loose jeans and a blue sweatshirt. I brushed my teeth and combed my hair into its usual style. I used the restroom and washed my hands thoroughly and called Lilly into the bathroom. I braided her hair into two braids and helped her brush her teeth. She used the restroom and we were set to go.

I put her in her car seat and strapped her in. I got in the drivers seat and buckled up. I drove us to Sam's Burgers, a local burger shop run by a family friend, Dave Sams. We arrived and I carried her inside. I met with Dave and he gave us a table and a booster before he had to head back to work.

We ordered our drinks, well I ordered them, and she talked about her toys. I smiled and talked with her about my toys that I had.

"I hwave better twoys." She concluded and crossed her arms.

"No you don't, I do." I argued.

"Nuh-uh."

"Uh-huh."

"Nuh-uh."

"Are you arguing with a child Ethan?" She asked.
